Red Frame is getting the PG treatment, so I doubt we will be seeing the MG version

Perhaps I'll like to remind you about the Wing Zero Custom.

Even so, Red Frame's design isn't as memorable as the Wing Zero Custom.

MG G Fighter boxart

Eleutheria 2009-01-21 10:38

That^ makes it seems a lot better than what I remember the old G Fighter models looked like.

One of the most unwieldy craft designs ever in Gundam.

"it's a duck!"
"no, it's a tank!"
"no, it's....JIII-FAIIIITAAAA!"

C.A. 2009-01-21 10:57

0079 designs are literally super robot designs since its the pioneer of real robots and designs aren't really established.

I remembered that the tip of the G-Fighter looks like an eagle's beak.
But duck's would do fine to I guess:heh:

vektar 2009-01-21 17:03

old school gundam designs are awesome, we wouldnt have 90% of the stuff now if it wasnt for them.

Sir Dearka 2009-01-21 17:32

Me like it! Gosh.. but the funds... too many thngs to buy and this could wait till I dunno when :]

MakubeX2 2009-01-21 17:39

The box art is actually one of the better ones I've seen. It's not CGed and it does not featured the mech in action. Hey, it even reminds me of those old school military model kits

Not if it stops going on sale. :)

Yeah, i actually wouldn't mind seeing more box art these days where they're getting maintenance instead of battle shots. It fits the gunpla image more in my opinion.

Nerroth 2009-01-21 17:57

Finally got around to building the Ahead - up until now, the only things I had clipped off of the frames were the two kill-bot Automatons.

They are so cool!

Anyway, the Ahead itself is nice - I just wish it had some kind of storage space for the extra bits that turn the GN Sub Machine Gun into a GN Beam Rifle.

A shame it got relegated from decent challenge to cannon fodder so quickly...

(I'm hoping the Smultron model will be released, too - alongside both my standard Ahead and my Mr. Bushido variant, it would comprise a neat trio..)

And, naturally, the Servaee went and stoleyed one of the beam sabers.

One down, five to go...

EDIT: When I get my Gadessa, I'll just have to pose it at least once like this! Bwahahahahaha....

PzIVf3 2009-01-21 19:37

Im not sure if this posted.

Man, I hope they release the SAGA version of that.

(The store had the Hobby Japan issue with the SAGA artwork when I went to look today...)

He didnt open his sniping camera too :heh:

Nerroth 2009-01-21 22:09

Maybe they will save that for an eventual trans-am version, or something.

Oh, how many of you have the HG Gadessa, and what do you make of it if you do?

The Gadessa isn't a very interesting kit. Without a Beam Saber and shield and only one huge gun, you can't strike much pose with it.

Worse of all, you need to take the toes parts out of the leg each and every time you want to change between arieal and land poses. And you need to take special care when inserting them, one wrong move and the joints will become very loose.

Nerroth 2009-01-21 22:32

Doesn't sound very encouraging - but then, I have a spare saber from the Ahead I can toss a Gadessa's way if needed.

What about the ejector module - is it sturdy enough when you leave it attached, or is it loose?

HG Sergei Custom Tieren Taozi with parts for Advanced GN-X beam rifle?

And HG Garazzo.

Nerroth 2009-01-21 22:54

HG Garazzo, intersting...

Hellbore 2009-01-21 23:02

I'm more intrested than the Sergei Custom. 00's first MSV? (not including the sidestories)

LoweGear 2009-01-21 23:05

It may not be the first MSV, given that 00V are MSV's, but it is the first mecha without a sidestory base so far.

Rising Dragon 2009-01-21 23:07

Is it possible that its just a fan's take on it, and the magazine people liked it so much they featured it in the magazine?

Hellbore 2009-01-21 23:07

Yeah, thats what I meant. Words sometimes don't come out good... for me.

Not when it says "February Release".

Hobby Japan features fan models in their own section. This one is obviously in the upcoming models preview section, which is dedicated to official merchandise.

More of HG Garazzo:

You mean that thing hanging on the back ? It's actually attached and inserted into the main body by a huge piece of plastic, so you do not have to worry about it.

Knight_SV 2009-01-22 00:09

what?! MG the O?? yes! my hope is finally realized

Nerroth 2009-01-22 00:11

Duly noted.

(I guess it's somewhat nice of them to actually give you a stand to start off with - none of the other 00 kits I have thus far came with one... but then, I like standing them anyway. We'll see.)

Oh, and one last question - how does the colour scheme on the Gadessa look in person, compared to what you see in photos? (I find that certain colours never quite seem to photograph well, and some models which look nice in person look less compelling in an image...)

Head to Dalong's and you shall get your answer :-
http://www.dalong.net/review/00/0h30/0h30_i.htm

And it disturbs me greatly to see that the Garazzo lacks transparent plastics for the beam fingers.

Could anyone confirmed if this mean there gonna be HG Arche gundam in the near future or perhaps it just a custom made?

EDit: I'd definitely buy HG Garazzo :D

It says 144 scale scratch kit in the magazine.

As Nerroth is asking, he wants to hear a personal opinion from a person who has seen the model, not simply images. And secondly, if Dalong does have said opinion, we can't read korean :heh:

And on the Garazzo, Don't despair just yet: That image of the Garazzo does show it in prototype form, with the grey plastic and all. And at that stage, they won't have any transparent parts for the model. We'll see what they do when they release final mold image of it.

He was asking about how does the unpainted model looks as the final query. And this is case, as the saying goes, a picture says a thousand words.

I think he was asking a personal opinion on the kit from someone who has seen it personally, and not something off photos :heh:

The photo in his case, I believe, is referring to the ones that is featured on the box. Why don't we try asking the man himself ?

He did specifically say this:

But I guess we should just wait for Nerroth himself to clarify the issue, this is getting incredibly silly :heh:

Spoiler for HG 1/144 Seraphim Gundam and 1/100 Seravee:
