Damn, Bandai love to use TGII and lock him behind the Online Hobby shop.

Either way, I will get both a White Unicorn and TGII, but I wish they were regular releases.

As annoying as it is, I'm glad that a MG Tallgeese II is even being made. I'll probably save up some money and get it through GG Infinite since they seem to be the best place to get limited edition MG kits in the US aside from eBay, where I run the risk of severely overpaying.

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2013-01-18 13:38

@RG Zeta Karaba: yep already saw this coming from a mile away. If they can do "Deactive version" this will be a no-brainer. Now, if i still have money to spare, this will be instant pre-order! Awaiting the local store's pre-order announcement for this :D.

@MG Tallgeese II: an exclusive? Now that's kinda disappointing. Never thought that it's gonna be an exclusive. Meh, I like Talgeese II, but not so much to spend abnormal amount of money for it. Still expecting Tallgeese III (not being exclusive).

I suspect they're going to release the MG Tallgeese II under the "EW" line even though they'll probably use the TV version. Or maybe we'll see it get an actual EW treatment.

I'm thinking that around the time the MG Tallgeese II is release, we will also see a MG Wing Zero (TV) get a release as well as remastered versions of Wing EW and Wing Zero EW.

Tallgeese III IMO has a good chance of getting a regular release.

I'm actually also disappointed. I think it would've been better if they just released the MG Tallgeese III and included the parts to convert it to Tallgeese II and charged like 5500 Yen; kinda like what they did with the 1/100 HG version that came out years ago.

I'm still curious about the others:

Sandrock Custom
Heavyarms Custom
Nataku

Hoping/assuming they get a regular release. Sandrock Custom shoudl also come with that cape thing. That would be cool, and if not then I'm ok. Nataku.. I hope they can pull off the Twin Dragon gimmick and make sure it isn't loose. It would be cool if it had like flame effect parts.

Serpent Custom would be an awesome release. That I wouldn't mind as an online exclusive, but again a little disappointed that Tallgeese II is an online exclusive. I'll pick it up, but I mean really..

I hope it isn't like as expensive as the MG Nu Gundam Ver. Ka or require me spending as much as I did with the MG 00 Riser Trans Am.

I like how you say III have a good chance then say you r curious about the remaining 3 EW Gundams

By all logic those 3 have a HIGHER chance of being made over any other EW kit atm for a regular release

Putting the MG kits together like the old 1/100 would never work in MG form, mainly because it would be too expensive, and the colors are very different especially regarding II, the only way to work around that would be to mold everything in white and leave it up to the buyers preference as to what colors to paint, which will kill the MG quality out of the box

Nataku EW was never shown to be using the flamethrowers, so its most likely that feature was not included in Katoki's design, also flame effect part would look......fake and lame imo and only serve to weigh down the complicated arm balance when extended

Bandai would never make a brand new kit for an online only release, bad move, and a Serpent will depend on how well the rest of the EW line is recieved and if there is high enough demand

As for Tallgeese 2 being online only.....well I want III so its nbd, but it sucks for those who liked 2 the best

While I agree the flame effect parts being dumb given what we just saw of Altron EW it's likely that Flame Throwers could be added back. As it stands Katoki has added the Tail Stinger and what could be the Wing's on Altron for Glory and Frozen, so the Flame Throwers wouldn't be out of the question.

duotiga 2013-01-18 21:01

Be going to get 2 RG zeta-3 even though have complete the set for the MG :3

For tallgeese II , I'll take wait & see approach.

Yes I admit there is a possibility of the flamethrowers being added back in (like how they gave Heavyarms EW his TV knife), but the flame effect parts definitely no lol

MG Astraea...MG Astraea Type F.
Those should get MG's. I've been building the 1/100 No Grade Astraea lately and I already see things here and there that I'm sure an MG release would improve.

off course an MG release would improve a HG model, it's just that the 1/100 HG (or NG) is so good that the MG's improvements would not be that striking, compared to other suits. 1/100 HG 00 gundam models are great for their price!

suiton629 2013-01-19 10:20

I guess.
So far I got done making the head, body, both arms, most of the GN Proto Sword, shield, and waist. I just have to work on the legs now.

Been a while since I worked on a GunPla kit and I'm actually having some fun even though the usual BS of polycaps flying from your fingers and then disappearing only to be found after moments of frustration, and those BS tiny stickers.. >_<

My God :uhoh:. Well, good for you duo. I certainly will not spent $350+ for two pieces of MGs. I will only spend those amount of money for a PG or two.

Oh, and speaking of different paint/finish, If I already have one Zeta 2.0, for the extra finish, I will certainly buy Zeta 1.0. Strange, I know, but when it comes to buying two models of the same MS, I prefer to have two different iterations of it rather than two exact same models (no matter how excellent it is) only with different finish. Of course, if you're rich, you can clear yourself the trouble and buy them all :D.

Then you must think I'm crazy for spending about 2/3 that amount getting the MG 00 Raiser Trans Am. :D:D:D
But then again I don't buy nearly as much GunPla as many of you here. Just the 00, Wing, and Age MG kits (and few exceptions with 00 getting the 1/100 No Grade kits).

Have preorder 2 of RG zeta-3 also

I don't fix PG btw

I think all of you guys are crazy, then again you guys probably got jobs

The MOST I have ever spent on a kit was MG Wing ($55 with shipping)

The MOST I have ever spent total was $115, and that included stuff that my brother paid me back for

It sucks being a college student when it comes to spending cash T___T

Well, of course we have jobs :D. My parents will kill me if they see my stacks of Gunpla bought with their money (which are not). IIRC suiton has a job even though he often complain that it's a shitty job, and duotiga also buys multiple kits so that he can display some at his office.

RX93-2 2013-01-20 05:23

I used to pay for them with my part-time job even during uni; I didnt buy a lot because I paid my own education, but I worked fulltime in the summers so that helped.
The exchange rate was much more favorable though a few years back and I doubt I would have even half the kits now just due to the mental barrier of the raised prices.

In more on-topic related stuff:
I hope we get the inevitable HGUC FA Unicorn Gundam with episode 6 instead of 7.

I'll have some more pics next weekend. I need sunlight for more beautiful pics :)

That looks frigging sweet, maknaedik. Unfortunately I haven't found the time to work on my Sazabi and try out the topcoating tips you mentioned. :heh: Hopefully in the next few weeks. Might try a flatcoat for my Rozen Zulu, which I'm going to paint up. (My first time! My good friend has kindly loaned me his airbrush, which will be parked in my house indefinitely. :D)

Don't worry, I'm in a similar predicament. Rarely buy kits because of this, and MGs are too expensive for me, so I try to stick to HGs. Been working temp jobs this year and I'll be enlisting in the army soon, so I'll have more cash to spend on gunpla! :D

Also: duotiga, you're crazy. :D Wish I could be you. Zeta and Unicorn are amongst my all-time favourite MS as well.

I suspect Bandai once release the RG Destiny, 3mths later P-Online Premium for Destiny Heine ver

Thanks thanks :)

Posing it with its Rifle+Bazooka is a pain. I even have to use my SHF KR Ryuki's stand. Thankfully I bought that, HAHA!

Skye629 2013-01-21 00:43

Y are action bases 1 so expensive......Im reluctant to pay $12 for a stand......they should be $7 imo......its basically shooting my wallet in the knee if I decide to get a MG as 90% of the time they wont come with one

Guess the next one Im gonna get is going to either come with a stand or does not require one to b kewl

Action Base 1 is more expensive because it's bigger, and it's designed for 1/100 scale GunPla kits.

It's like asking why is MG Exia more expensive than HG Exia... :eyespin:

Also, MG kits really don't come with a stand anymore. The only time they will include a stand is if a weapon is really too large to hold, and even that is a sometimes. An example is the MG 00 Qan[T] which came with an Action Base 2 to hold the Buster Rifle/Buster Sword.

So what I do with GunPla is limit myself to MG's and rarely 1/100 No Grades. Each time, I will get the MG kit with an Action Base 1. Simple.

I also look for deals online. Like sometimes I will buy from Amazon since I have an Amazon Prime account which gives me free & unlimited 2 day delivery on most things sold by Amazon, and Amazon themselves now sell some GunPla kits. Prices can be a little bit more, but I like the fast delivery.

In Japan they do cost 500 yen (if I remember correctly). The problem is that the store in America where you buy it has to import it as well. So they have to pay for shipping and taxes just like you have to if you import it yourself. So naturally they can't just sell it to you for 7 bucks. They want to make a profit afterall.

suiton629 2013-01-21 15:37

I just finished the 1/100 No Grade Astraea. It was a pretty fun build but it gets me wondering why we don't have the Astraea and Astraea Type F (as well as Avalanche Dash Exia) as MG's when we have 1/100 No Grade and 1/144 High Grades for them...

Znozzy 2013-01-22 00:05

because we have 1/100 NG's and 1/144 HG's of them :)

maknaedik 2013-01-22 04:48

Sinanju deserves a 2.0. It needs the manipulator of nu ver Ka, separate plastic parts for details underneath its thrusters and updated ball joint on the waist (sarcs).

Anyway, when's the next announcement for new releases? I just can't get enough of the announcements they made last year.

edit: separate parts for the gold trims, include the bazooka attachment with the right colors, separate part for the vulcans and LED gimmick.

If you improve upon the Sinanju like that you might as well call it a Perfect Grade^^

Also, check out what I just got! :B

And of course it took them one day longer to deliver it. I had half a day off yesterday so I would have had time to build it >__>
Oh and they made me pay 16.50€ for customs fees. It took them a freaking week to process it, messed up my express shipping and I still had to pay XP

LOL! I can't believe it! They're actually releasing a new MG Sinanju! Of course, it ain't close to a 2.0. It will come with Sinanju Bazooka, and hopefully, the PG type hands! Anyway, even though I already have on and just recently finished one, I'm still gonna buy this. One is never enough >:) duotiga supports me in this for sure :P

Gonna make it metallic finish this time, or maybe not. Depends on my mood maybe :P

HLJ is offering the 1/144 HG AGE-1 gundam with Razor upgrade parts that came with the hobby japan oktober 2012 magazine for 1300 yen, not a bad price, or 1000 yen for only the parts, okay that's a bit expensive.

http://www.hlj.com/HG-Gundam-AGE-1-N...r-Part-Mod-Kit

Do you guys think there is a chance we will get a full 1/144 hg AGE-1 Razor model as they did with astraea in the 1/144 HG 00 line after the conversion parts were also released with a magazine??

I might buy the parts to customise an adele (diva color) :)

Zeydra 2013-01-23 03:37

Another Sinanju? Cool, hopefully they make the gold trims a snap on part (though they probably won't). Either way, another Sinanju can't be anything but awesome. :heh:

Destiny Real Grade prototype image is out.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n4kkcBZMBF...s1600/1aaa.jpg

Honestly, looks nice, but the lack of Wings of Light will continue to worry me until they are either confirmed or not. To me the thing that truly makes the Destiny stand out is those wings, otherwise I find it rather bland as far as lead Gundams go. It may sound a little silly, but the wings are a make or break thing for me and this design.

Wow, took them long enough to make Sinanju OVA ver. I hope that means they do some real improvement, like actual gold parts instead of stickers. Yeah, I know, I’m asking the impossible . I do wonder, will the decals in this OVA ver be better than the Ver. Ka?

Anyway, reading the announcement, I’m glad I don’t have any Sinanju yet. I can't afford to double-dip MG Sinanjus. Must do some picking first ;). I'm also waiting anxiously whether they'll made MG Nu HWS Ka or not.

Is it just me, or RG Destiny's feet look kinda bad standing like that?

^ So they include the “correctly opened” Armed Armor VN claw on HG Banshee Norn Unimod? Hmm...smart move, Bandai...smart move....

HG Norn Unimod itself doesn’t look bad. And considering the Unimod of my MG Banshee can barely stand, I’m tempted to get this.

Appel 2013-01-23 05:22

Sinanju OVA version, eh? I did not expect this. At all. Especially since we are getting the Sinanju Stein this year as well...
I definitely wont get this. I mean, I am happy with my Sinanju as it is and I don't really want the bazooka (which I can always buy seperately if I want it in the future). But I suppose it is nice that those who don't have a Sinanju yet have three different versions to choose from (Ver.Ka, OVA and Stein)! Four if you count the Titanium Finish version.

Skye629 2013-01-23 05:24

DAMN U BANDAI
Now I have to get the new Banshee lol

New Sinanju? About time! Maybe they will also include the new manipulators from the Nu/Stein! I doubt there will be gold parts, they would be too fragile, and a solid gold piece for the full part with black part add ons will cost too much/be too heavy/take up more room throwing off the proportions

Hmmmmmm should I get the MG Tallgeese II? Which site is the best to order limited kits from if you are in the US (West coast)? I dont think hobbywave sell limited ones

HGUC EZ8 looking great!

Is that a new VF model?! O_O

GG: Omg the Banshee head stand transforms? The unicorn one did not do that!

TLDR: DAMN YOU BANDAI DAMN YOU!!!!!
