Hope that this episode will not be a disappointment.

Soji 2012-03-01 08:41

^I think is something that all of us hope. I mean with only 4 ep after this, the anime team can't really mess up.They really had to do thing in the right way.
But from the preview of this ep...seem to me that something good will happen.(or at least I really hope I'm right about this).

Sixth 2012-03-01 09:02

Well, I actually hoping that Shu will do something similar like what he did in the end of episode 4.

Soji 2012-03-01 09:05

^From scareface face and the blu pillar of light I think this will be the case. The problem is a what price? In anycase will be interesting to see Shu do something to take Inori back and say to her that not matter what she is(at least I hope he do this).

All I got to say is....Hail to the King baby!

Flawfinder 2012-03-01 12:57

This episode...if it had come a little earlier or if it was built up better, it would have been really good. I chalk up Scarface letting Shu have the genome because he's that insane, but the forced destiny speeches in the middle of the climax of this episode were pretty painful. All in all...meh.

guiltyx 2012-03-01 13:31

This anime seems to always get me to rage at something every week. How many times can Souta f*** Shu up? That kid needs to die before he directly or indirectly f*** Shu again

ohello80 2012-03-01 13:53

what?! i didnt know you can pull a void out of yourself, thats amazing! wait but now shu will die at the end of the show, because of the cancer... damn you Souta!

Shinji103 2012-03-01 13:57

AWWWWWWWWW YEAH, badass Shu has kicked into full gear now! :D

konart 2012-03-01 13:58

Also - Ayase <3 So digging into Shu... It's a pity he already has Inori.(She can die for him tho, leaving a clean road for Ayashu... Shuyase?)

I wouldn't want Inori to die, but I'm definitely all for ShuxAyase. :D

Sinestra 2012-03-01 14:21

looks interesting cant wait to get off work so i can watch the episode. Im a little disappointed to learn that Souta once again dicked over Shu in someway,, dont know what he did but im sure it will piss me off

Spoiler for Souta:

tsunade666 2012-03-01 14:27

pretty amazing episode no complaints at all aside from out of place beginning with Haruka and a bit of back story from her but all been washed clean when Shu takes off his void and form his new arm though it's a death flag already set for Shu thanks to this episode or maybe Souta.

Sinestra 2012-03-01 14:41

I will say right now if Shu dies at the end after all the shit hes been through. This series will get a rating no higher than 5 from me. There are certain hero's who's death makes sense in the end. Shu on the other hand is not one of them iv seen heros in some animes who didnt deserve to freakin live at the end but they did. If anyone deserves to live at the end of this whole thing its Shu.

bevan 2012-03-01 14:43

Oh man, I like the look of Shu right at the end.

InternHertz 2012-03-01 14:44

I'm very disappointed. Not by the episode in itself, but by the fact that Shu is clearly forgiving his mother and the others...while I would've tortured/killed them after acquiring their Voids.

Haak 2012-03-01 14:44

All I have to say is...

Spoiler for Shu's void:

Im in your camp man im not really the forgiving type with complete fuck overs by people. I would have taken their Voids and slaughtered them all. All while saying you guys thought i was a tyrant before wait till you get a load of me now. Let the screaming and begging for your lives commence.

I have to say i agree with this , the ending for this series really going to have the final say about what i think about .

blakstealth 2012-03-01 15:26

Badass episode. Shu's finally becoming what everyone's been asking for since episode 1.

In OP we see a near death Shu (due to cancer)

But after this Inori save Shu from this end..

That's only what I can assume from Opening..

BTW Gaaaaaaaai you look a little scared from Shu's new arrival XD

miketyson 2012-03-01 15:33

Finally I can say something different than I have the past few episodes. The past few episodes have all been examples of introducing some interesting ideas or story developments and bungling the execution. So I'd see them and start to see something with a lot of potential, if nothing else.

This episode had a fair amount of action but was the first episode that didn't really introduce any new ideas -- or at least new ideas that we haven't seen coming for ages -- and it had this overall confused feeling. Most of the characters' motivations seemed random (more so than usual).

Griping aside: Inori looks like a different character now. I guess they're drawing her differently now that she has more feelings?

Ray 2012-03-01 15:36

From here on in, Shu can finally be considered badass. Stupid death flag is stupid; but now the end of the OP finally makes sense, with Inori being alone in the city blooming with flowers. I still want my happy Inori x Shu ending, as unlikely as that may be.

I'm glad Shu simply left the building without saying or doing anything to those who betrayed him. Except maybe for Arisa, I want to see that bitch burn.

Haruka's tight bodysuit is delicious.

All in all, I enjoyed watching this episode more than the previous few.

DevilHighDxD 2012-03-01 15:40

Kindness is wrong shu, IT WRONG!!!!! They betrayed you once and will do so again. Right now they only acting nice because you have power. Remember it them who betrayed you and left you for dead in the city, the ONLY one you need is Inori and that it. Screw the rest of them. Also you take in the virus for Souta? For Ayase I can understand but for Souta??? He the reason why Hare is dead! OMFG this is so pissing. Tyrant Shu FTW! +5 for badass Shu -5 for not killing these bastard. 5/10 for me.

Why kill Haruka? She did all she could for him in her situation.

Soji 2012-03-01 15:52

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) I agree with you here. Shu need to survive after all this.
Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) I think he will survive ..the op does not have the events in order. And we cleary see a Shu almost death because the virus heal thanks to Inori. So I really think he will survive. And I will say he will survive until the anime itself with the last ep dont prove me wrong.

inori 2012-03-01 15:58

WOOWT loving shu's reslove Inori is waiting go get your girl!!!
i do however don't support the whole shu taking that cancer's kid's disease tho thats just dumb!! that kid betrayed u let him die and be done with it ..

KICK That Neo FAG gai's but into next year!!!

so my fellow GC lovers answer this for me CAN SHU COMBINE VOIDS LIKE GAI DID AFTER STEALING HIS ARM?

inori 2012-03-01 16:05

it called Bios

Trudinh 2012-03-01 16:23

I was a little confuse,
How can shu control more then 1 people void at a times? Why do shu die if he use it twice?
Shu void is a new hand that take people strenght and weakness? (when he take his hand and pull out his own void from his heart which became a new arm.)

BTW, I totally call it when i say shu void is a new hand, and people reply back to me saying it stupid cause once he turn 18 his hand will disappear...... And also about shu mother being a good person.

I gave it a 5 too cuz shu has dementia.

thundrakkon 2012-03-01 17:01

I'm just curious. What if Gai chops off Shu's left hand now and takes on a second Void Genome? Can that happen, and Gai has void powers in both arms? I know it is never going to happen, but it would be curious indeed.

Shu was able to do it before, so I don't see a problem with him doing it now. So Shu using multiple combined voids would be pretty awesome. I wonder if he has a protection of sorts, so that if the void breaks, people won't die?

He has been controlling more than one void at a time since the high school break away arc. Remember all the voids were out of the students that were fighting to break out?

Haruka only anticipate that Shu might die if he uses the Void Genome again, since it messes up your DNA. She stated that if an incompatible person uses it, he/she will die. It was only her theory, but you never know until you try.

blakstealth 2012-03-01 17:04

In some scenes, Voids like Ayase's and Yahiro's only manifested enough to look like outlines of their real Voids. I dunno if it was done to make Shu look cooler during the action scene, or maybe it's done so that the Voids can't be destroyed.

Sinestra 2012-03-01 17:23

well my theory about having to be compatible with the Genome was correct

Trudinh 2012-03-01 17:31

y does shu will die if he use the genome again ?

Soji 2012-03-01 17:39

Trudinh@ Well seem to me...noXD I mean he already owercome that phase. You know he survive after that he injected the genome inside himself. And I'm sure Inori will help him with the rest. So I suppose we will have some sort of happy ending.:heh:
But I had to admit ,I really like this ep.
