So only the weapons of Side MS are compatible?

She's compatible with parts from the Robot Damashii line it appears.

Oh yeah! Gimme more Gundam Girls please :p. Next, a Zaku girl will be cute ;).

Btw, is this the first of the (supposedly long) lines of Gundam-girls? It does look like Infinite Stratos girls though, or is it the other way around?

The very concept of Gundam Girls (aka Gundam Musume, which falls under the Mecha Musume category which the former did spawn) has been around since the 80's, mostly due to artist Akitaka Mika's works.

Infinite Stratos as a whole is very much inspired by the mecha musume genre in general, and as such owes its entire existence to Gundam Girls.

This is one of the few official Gundam Musume figures to exist though, being produced under the Armor Girls line (which also produced Infinite Stratos figures incidentally enough).

@ LoweGear: Thanx for the info ;).

Yeah, I kinda noticed that it’s been around much longer than IS girls. I just never bothered to find out more about the actual artist (even though I do have lots of those cute G Girls pics in my PC :p). Man, if there’s a galge-fighting game involving all of those Gundam Girls, IS girls and Strike Witch girls, that would be awesome :uhoh::p.

Technically, there is no "official" version of Gundam Musume. Mika Akitaka's art evolves over time, and there have been tons of "official" and fan versions of many Gundam mecha musume in the last three decades. This particular MS Girl is just one of many to be made, and certainly not the last.

Also, researching it again, it seems Cecilia Alcott x Blue Tears was actually the very first figure released for the Armor Girls Project line, with this MS Wing Gundam Ver. Ka being the second. And we know what the third will be:

A helmet-ed girl with a bootleg version of Dendrobium Orchis? Hmm... not very cute, tbh. If it has to be with helmet, I prefer the GP02-girl ;).

and since they already made Wing and Stamen girls, maybe we can expect more MC Gundam girls to follow :p.

If Mika Akitaka created one of the first Gundam Girl art decades ago (even had an artbook published) and IS an official gundam designer, isn't his version "official"? Especially now that two will be available on this particular line, based on his designs.

On this note about Mecha Musume, I gotta post my favorite one as it involves my favorite gundam:D

The most awesome gundam made even more awesome, is such a thing possible?!:bow:

MakubeX2 2012-02-10 19:52

That late 80's/early 90's facial design could use a little update here.

Possible MS, but only after this Gundam.

Do you guys think that Bandai might ever redo the MG Wing EW and MG Wing Zero Custom with a new inner frame, new hands, etc...?

HasuMasu 2012-02-10 22:13

Great choices there, guys. Here are some of mine.

Actually even before a Unicorn we have to have this

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2012-02-10 23:11

Wow, somebody actually made an attempt at these Gundam Girls :uhoh::

Another addition to the long list :D:

RX93-2 2012-02-11 02:58

Eh I don't see the appeal in those gundamgirls, the Wing Ew one looks good though.

No, at least not in the coming years; and they do not need it.
The inner frames are good and the main gripe you probably have with them (hands) can be easily fixed (see how vegeta8259 did it for a decent method) or replaced (option parts, donor kits)

Appel 2012-02-11 03:47

i dont really like them, too :P i mean, i get it! cute girls are cool, gundams are cool. but putting them together like that doesnt make double cool for me XD

and yeah, i also dont think that bandai will make new versions of the wing EW and wing zero EW. i mean, they just released the wing last year, why would they release a new version of it already?

casval cehack 2012-02-11 03:51

Putting them together plus a red color scheme makes them triple cool.

Just got this. Now to test fit starting with RG Freedom.

Appel 2012-02-12 09:34

finished this today:

its the DC/DX hobby SD unicorn that prime92 talked about on youtube a few weeks ago.

im gonna be perfectly clear here: this thing SUUUUCKS! DX it cant to anything! the joints suck, most important connections suck, it falls apart all the time, the connection between the legs and the hips sucks, the important connections fail...
yeah, dont bother :P

Despite my comments on this thread, all the videos I've watched, and my knowledge on Gunpla--the truth is I don't have one.:( It was simply too expensive, however I was recently able to procure a Real Grade Freedom--construction is ongoing.:D I think the hardest part is taking stuff off the plates, there's always a bit left on the parts.:heh:

I'll post some pictures after I'm done panel-lining, currently on the legs.

Congrats then! Your first gunpla is an RG Freedom!!! You can trim those excess parts by using a cutter, a hobby knife if possible.
