So what's so "Kai" about it? It's yellow things on its head and different shaped forehead camera (are those things still cameras on their heads these days?)?

It's "kai" for what you said plus the legs and front skirt.

Minor nit:

If this pic is to be believed, it's called the "Astraer Type F", and not "Type F Kai".

Some work in progress

Hi there,
First time I post some of my own work here so here goes my infinite justice, started almost 2 years ago... 0_o, as the special edition stand shows...

These pictures show some of the mods at the legs, feet, hops, shoulders, skirts and three part torso. I also made longer wings for the backpack and reworked the head a bit (thicker and longer sensor).

Enjoy! And feel free to suggest things to make it better (as it is my first time at modding a kit)...

I got one question when priming the pieces of a model kit, how many layers of prime are recommended? And second, how great is the risk that when doing the necessary sanding the prime maybe will even fall off the piece?

Is the Gundam Avalanche Exia an upgraded version of the Exia?
Is it going to appear in the second season?

duotiga 2008-06-05 17:17

Avalanche Exia is MSV variant of Exia . Take it into acc like Seed MSV.

So... after some time I decided to do my very first custom color scheme, being the subject test the Crossbone X-1 Ver. Ka:
http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/3...0596lf4.th.jpg

Yeah, I know it looks quite messy, especially the golden parts, since the oil marker I used didn't dried as smooth as I first expected. As for the rest of the colors, I simply used spray cans: flat black, silver and glossy blue (I didn't have a flat tone in my house >_<). However, from afar I think it looks nice for a first try.

I don't like to think it is the X-2 despite the very similar color scheme since Zabine was an ass, so I have named it the XM-X5 (F97) Crossbone Gundam Schwarz Blau. It currently is at 70% complete, I'm only missing the feet (which require another blue spray coat), both arms and little golden details on the weapons before assembling it.
I would have finished it today but holy cow! It rained like hell where I live yesterday and there is so much moisture in the air that spray painting is out of question and I don't want the fumes of the paint flood my room :heh:

Oh well, as soon as the weather improves I'll finish this guy ^^

Does anyone know where to get high quality scans of the PG Gundam Mk. II Instruction manual? I recently bought one and it didn't have the manual, I went to dalong.net and the manual is kinda small for me to make things out. Can someone help me out please?
