I feel your pain and confusion :(

So they are not releasing an anime, but a manga? Damn. I thought it was an anime. Still great though. They should make references to Lelouch for sure.

Lummie 2009-12-07 01:37

The new Newtype issue also mentions that the story script is fully written by anime director Gorō Taniguchi. The same guy who was the director of both S1 and S2 of the Code Geass anime. Also, The story takes place in the Edo era.

props to dtshyk

aquamarineAngel 2009-12-07 01:41

Yay! So that means it's all water under the bridge. :3

HollowScar 2009-12-07 01:41

Yeeeeesssssss. Let's make it happen.

Edo period, huh? I guess they want another shot at doing things in the past. Pretty weird, though, considering that picture doesn't look very Edo era. What with the robot arm and all.

But, Gorō Taniguchi? I'm in.

GundamFan0083 2009-12-07 01:46

Well that is a relief on one hand but a disappointment on the other.
For me, a mecha fan, placing Geass in the Edo Period means I will not bother with it. :(

Unless there are KnightMares of some sort.

HollowScar 2009-12-07 01:46

Wow. Edo era. Makes me wonder.

Kuroshinobu 2009-12-07 01:47

So he's scripting the new manga then... I'll give it a shot, but I'll still keep my fingers crossed for a new anime as well.

Lummie 2009-12-07 01:49

Well if you noticed, look at that Suzaku look-a-like, he's wearing a traditional Japanese outfit...

aquamarineAngel 2009-12-07 01:52

I don't know what to think anymore.
I'm just going to wait till I get the full story. All this is too much for me.

And it's friggin almost 2am. D:
Thank you Sunrise... as usual. I cannot sleep due to too much excitement.

A traditional Japanese outfit... and a robot arm. haha

Honestly, even at 40 posts a page this thing is just growing out of control. I can hardly keep up.

That image just looks like another CLAMP-affiliated series. Probably just borrowed the designs. If it is Geass, O_O.

:p

It just means that they are already working on the script this upcoming anime adaptation will be based on. That's a very common practice in the anime industry prior to launching a new season.

TrueElements 2009-12-07 02:00

Idk if that info applies seeing as it said we wouldnt hear anything till 2010.

Doesn't really look like CLAMP's art to me at all. Just someone else drawing characters originally drawn by CLAMP.

Oh God, though. Imagine a Code Geass manga that was a collaboration between Gorō Taniguchi and CLAMP? Jeez. If only.... Highly doubt it would ever happen though.

You lost me... then that means we're going to see anime adaptation really late in 2010 since the manga is new?

I think he was just joking... or wishful thinking.

I don't think any anime is confirmed yet, just this manga, with hints from the website that this project will be multimedia and have more to it than just one manga.

TrueElements 2009-12-07 02:08

Place the following on page one for all veiwers
