Original film 'Kimi no Koe wo Todoketai' (I Want to Deliver Your Voice) announced by Madhouse studio for Summer 2017. The director is Naoyuki Itou.

Plot Summary

Quote:

The main cast members of the movie are six lucky girls, Misako Iino, Mitsuho Kambe, Aki Tanaka, Hitomi Suzuki, Momone Iwabuchi, and Mina Katahira, who were chosen out of 3000 contestants. They will also be part of a seiyuu unit called NOW ON AIR and will debut through Lantis. The winners participated in an audition called "Kimi Koe Project," which was broadcast on Kimikoe TV, and were judged by Naoyuki Itou (Overlord), Yuuji Shimizu (Redline), and Youhei Kizara. More information will be announced at later time.

Great to see something inspiring from madhouse other than their light novel adaptions. I've been having a love hate relationship with them as of late but it seems that 2017 is going to prove that they are buckling down.

Hopefully this film will spawn a TV series similarly to how Death Parade got one. Im guessing it isnt a long feature length but what do I know. Lets see what comes outta it.

It's a bit surprising as to how little discussion there's been of KimiKoe. I'll break that ice right now and note that it was a fun movie with a simple but sincere story. The art style was a little off-putting, but after watching YoriMoi, I warmed right up to it, and quite honestly, this film felt like a warm-up act to YoriMoi, which took the lessons from KimiKoe and improved on them.
