still deciding whether i wanna put the decals on. definitely need to get skygrasper though

whoa, that looks awesome. Personally I would add the decals. I'm more inclined for the Nascarish looks in my Gundams jojo.

BTW, I found rather cool this HG Exia handpainted to give it the Transam look:

pretty cool, looks like he just dipped the model in red paint and fan dried it lol

stupid custom gimmi my Zwei already!!

PlastiChicken 2008-03-31 01:43

I just bought an Exia 1/100 and I decided to use paint and do the panel lines for the first time since it looks so much better. I got all the tools i need but I needed help on paint selection. The hobby store near me has some tamiya paint and there are many different types of paints. I dont know if I should use acrylic or lacquer, or the difference between flat, normal, and clear paint colors. And should i use some primer before i spray the paint on or can I just spray it. And after the painting is done, what would i use to finish it if i need to finish it at all. I think the easiest way would be just to spray the whole runner before cutting out the pieces and spray over the clipped parts. Anyways, advice on paint would be really helpful. Would be awesome to get some tips from the pros.

A detailed lineart of 1/100 Overflag

EXEs 2008-03-31 07:37

Hmmm, don't think I'll be getting the 1/100 flag, I gotta no money, and I still need to buy Kyrios and Virtue/Nadleeh. And weird design.

If the face is going to be that detailed, then this is a must for me. I just hope they don't mold it in pure black; at least give it multiple shades of black. :p

Sciel 2008-03-31 08:33

Meh , hopefully they don't be cheap and give us stickers for face detail instead of molded colored parts . All of the 1/100 00 Series Gundams require at least a bit of painting to their heads .

PS : from the bottom right of the pic , looks like we're getting a 1/100 Tieren , HG Red Enact (Ali's suit whatever its called) and GN-X

A 1:100 Tieren.... Wait... WHAT!?:twitch:

jonli 2008-03-31 11:32

Damn, I thought they'll have the Ali Custom Enact in its original dark blue colors. I thought that looked sweeter.

Let's hope they come out with a 1/100 Enact soon.

That's a great Dynames! I like it more than the previously posted Trans-Am Exia (which I loved).

beamknight87 2008-03-31 21:27

maybe I'll try the Transam pink-red paintjob on a HG Exia, looked very cool...

That aside, WTF is with that Dynames! looks awesome but the guns are freaking massive

They look like AC machine guns, not sure of the exact model though, or even if they are actually from the AC model line... Still looks badass though...

it's some gun from kotobukiya, i was gonna link more pics from the site but his blog is under upgrade, the guy enters Dengeki Model Competition in HK, not sure if it's advanced group or professional group. I love his recolor on dynames and kyrios, it makes them much more realistic, it just looks awesome

dodgethis_sg 2008-04-01 02:30

Kotobukyia are the ones making the Armoured Core kits and their associated add-ons, hence why people would associate them with AC weapons. In fact, I do believe they are kitbashed from several AC weapon sets.

Kitbashed GN-Flag.

Astrana 2008-04-01 11:47

loos like graham custom+zwei core

beamknight87 2008-04-01 21:31

got a 1/100 Exia for 30CAN bucks. Fair to me, although the store just got a restock and among the models they got there were some Unicorns. The box is bigger than I expected although I'm not sure if I should try to get it, since apparently, the transform gimmick sacrifices mobility...

Critias 2008-04-01 21:55

@ kitbash GN Flag

I didn't notice it had wings anymore. Maybe I need to watch the episode in slow-mo. Doesn't seem to have any beamsaber gimmicks tho (the actual saber, and GN Drive), but still a good looking Flag.

Fafnir 2008-04-01 23:42

Needs more face opening. Other then that, it looks really cool. Torso's a little big though.

beamknight87 2008-04-02 02:08

so... they kept the core system of the Impulse. Wonder how articulate it will be. Maybe this model can serve as practice for Bandai to do the V2!!!

Also... HGUC Sazabi? Do want

Astrana 2008-04-02 02:44

lol.. guess i am step late to post pics about MG force impulse and HG sazabi

tieren space type sergei custom is such a rip off, worse than flag graham custom and overflag..
probably wont get any of these, and btw i got my Zwei today, pretty bad kit imo. a lot part need to be repainted probably one of the worst 00 HG kit (Drei is probably gonna be bad too /shrug) oh well, right now just adding color for sword and 2 fins gonna wait till tomorrow see how they turn out

LightningZERO 2008-04-02 04:01

HGUC Sazabi!!!

LOL at papa bear's symbol

I'm surprised that MG Force Impulse comes with the Excalibur. Is it just the sword or the whole Sword Silhouette pack?

duotiga 2008-04-02 04:54

Nw i find MG Force Impulse is pretty worth the $$$ . Looking forward to the ALi's Enact & 1/100 Overflag

We were actually talking about that not too long ago. It's possible that MG Impulse is a testbed for the much-anticipated (at least for me) RX-78-2 version 2.0, as well as for future mobile suit releases, most notably the ones with a core system, such as the Victory Gundam line.

So yeah, if that's the case, this MG Impulse should be as articulated (if not better) as any of the recently released MGs, plus the addition of fully detachable core fighters.

On the other hand, YAAY for HGUC Sazabi! =D And I see my Zaku II FZ/Kai on one of those scans! It's makes me excited whenever I see it. XD

Terra 2008-04-02 06:16

Bleh. I don't get why Ali's Enact has to be the red one when we saw him use the dark blue one more. I much prefer the dark blue colour (not that I'm getting it anyway since it isn't 1/100).

Sir Dearka 2008-04-02 07:35

That MG Impulse looks just astonishing...

Pride 2008-04-02 07:41

Sergei's emblem is pretty cool.

Sciel 2008-04-02 07:42

Does anyone have a 1/144 HG Nu Gundam yet ? I usually avoid 1/144 HG's like a plague since they come with a crapload of miscolored/unpainted parts but this kit recently caught my eye and i'm thinking of getting it . Does the kit have any weaknesses?

Recall the Variable PS Gimmick. It's more like a hint/prelude that a MG Sword Impluse is on the way.

DarkWarrior 2008-04-02 10:59

Rofl, Bandai included the Excalibur so you could recreate Impulse stabbing Freedom? Win!

It is a hint. But I think it's just as DarkWarrior said. To recreate the Freedom-stabbing scene.

jonli 2008-04-02 17:17

Hello people!

Are there any good websites with cool Gundam Dioramas? Where they recreate scenes in the series and stuff?

duotiga 2008-04-02 18:18

Expecting HGUC Hi-Nu & Nightingle to come?
