Speak after me, my friends... speak after me!

VALENTINE'S DAY ARC!

It has finally arrived ^_^b

*cuddles the preview*

Good episode 03, too! Will write more later!

Dr. Casey 2009-04-17 14:20

I will write more as well!

Just one question, though...

Does Hina still carry a grudge against Hayate for the drawbridge thing in episode three? Because Revenge Mode Hina was hot.

And I don't know what to expect from the Valentine's Day arc since I've never read it, but it does seem to be one of the fan favorites, and it's probably romance-oriented, which is always a good thing.

The grudge kind of remains since she keeps calling him "Ayasaki-kun", but she doesn't shoot him down anymore as much as in epi 2. She gets to look hot with Masamune now though ;)

The preview for next week looks really promising too. Can't wait for the upcoming arcs, hope they'll be done as great as in the manga!

Well... spoiler protected, since it affects future events a little bit, too.

Nn? Ayumu's perfect attendance over? Or does the preview count?

Spoiler for ep3:

Mentar 2009-04-17 16:17

Anyway, alot to like in this ep ^_^

o I like what they've been doing with Isumi. Even though I'd have loved to have one scene from the manga, where Isumi tries (and fails) to keep Hina out of the dungeon.

o A big grin to the _meanest and dirtiest_ look of Hinagiku in the entire show so far. This, along with her brandishing her sword against Hayate should put any questions to rest whether or not she still holds a grudge. I'm glad about this display of anger, because Hina will be angry ALOT in the near future, and I want a proper representation of that

o (But naturally, any grudge notwithstanding, she still continues to save his rear end)

o Contrary to the end of S1, where Nagi was mostly pictured as some annoying selfish bratty ojousama, she has her heart at the right spot here. She really cares, and that makes me like her alot more than before.

o Wataru-harem += 1;

s_b: Was Ayumu in every single episode in S1? I didn't notice that she's in _every_ one? In any case, the Valentine Day arc is pretty Hamster-centric, so you should be happy about the next ep :)

In any case, J.C.Staff continues to do a great job in creating a truthful manga conversion. Here's a grateful fan!

nagi is taking about Dahlsim from street fighter in the preview narrative :D

This was definitely the better episode so far from this second season. It feel's like they've worked out the bugs that the first two had with the jokes, because this episode captured the humor quite nicely from the manga. I laughed out loud quite a bit, so that's always a good sign. Even though i've experienced the jokes before in the manga, they worked their magic yet again.

Good to finally see Linn animated. He has some great scenes later on, so here's hoping they don't edit them out.

I wonder will they include
Spoiler for scene:

DragoonKain3 2009-04-17 20:02

I particularly love this episode because of three things...

- Za Warudo! And then, time starts flowing again. (ROTFLMAO! Wondering when they're gonna put in otaku references again lol)

-Hinagiku kicking ass and showing her 'concern' over Hayate

-"Oh you said something about revenge... Can't you just let it go? She's supposed to be my Fiancee. Kind of."

Is Hina left-handed? In her fight with the Sister, she seems to be wielding the sword using her left hand?

Yeah, that's what I remember. If she didn't appear for a plot reason, she'd always be shown eating (in the attraction park episode, she was just doing a job). Though I can't say I have the time to look over all 50+episodes to find proof...:heh:

DragoonKain3 2009-04-18 01:46

chapter 76, page 12 shows her using a pen with her right hand. Ch 77 pg 9 also shows the same thing.

That said, like many great athletes, she's probably ambidextrous or very close to it. She does seem to switch grips on her sword quite often during the kendo club incident, to name another example.

Ottocycle 2009-04-18 02:01

Yes! The otaku references are back in droves!

And a sengoku reference or two(which always come with the classic weapon-types :p).

Nice job casting Archer back!(who died by an arrow, lol the irony)

Too bad Buu arc is too far away in DB Evolution. Else more viewers would get that one.

Hopefully more next week! One Gundam reference, in the bag...

Yeah i clicked onto that the second he started talking. I actually hope that wasn't planned, because it'll make it all the more funny.

I think that was actually planned though. The moment I heard him say 'Image it. (With regards to Hayate's ultimate move)' which if I remember correctly was in the manga as well, that part of F/SN all came back to me since that exact phrase was uttered.

You can't see the reference because he could only be heard. See my post which you also replied to in the Q&A thread.
