Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo!

While this series has not yet been licensed we have received a C&D from Kadokawa Pictures USA, we therefore won't be listing fansubs of this series here on AnimeSuki anymore.

Please note that Kadokawa are acting on the behalf of the Japanese IP owners, Kadokawa Pictures USA themselves do not license such series but act as a master licensor, a middle-man who sells on the license to (typically) American anime companies. End of edit by Mod (xris)

From Anidb:

Quote:

Nice to meet you. My name is Yoshimura Mamoru and today is supposed to be the start of my new life. From now on I`ll be attending a high school which is attached to the prestigious Tokyo Beatrice University.

Right when I arrived at the school full of expectations, this is where I met her, under the scattering storm of cherry blossoms. I could do nothing but gaze at an fantastic spectacle. The name of the beautiful girl before me was Takasu Ayako. And suddenly she confessed to me...

However, little did I know what awaited me after I accepted this stunning offer. She was in reality a rich and spoiled princess who moreover was the genius in control of the Tokyo Beatrice University and this is how my days of a love comedy began.

lol, I didn't even notice the boy until you pointed him out :o Looks like it'll be fun at any rate, I'll certainly be checking it out.

NeoSam 2006-06-11 13:15

Ahh I just found out something :)

There's also a manga thats based on the light novel that started serialization on April 2006 in the seinen(young men's) novel magazine Dengeki hp.

Dengeki hp is a magazine for young men that serializes light novels, but it seems that Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! manga that started on April 2006 in this magazine is the only manga thats serialized in it at the moment ( well, its a seinen novel magazine and not a seinen manga magazine :P ).

relentlessflame 2006-06-11 13:21

By the way, everyone... as you can see on the website's character page, the male lead's not actually "doll-sized"... :heh:

Edit: I'm presuming they use that on the covers to illustrate his lowly status in comparison to hers as the sort of campus queen/"royalty".

WOWOW's site for the anime has opened:

http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/mamoru/

I want to clear some stuff up in this post, since I don't want anyone asking these questions later:

first of all Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! is a light novel thats published under the seinen light novel label Dengeki Bunko and for now there are 8 volumes released of this light novel.

A short story light novel called Mamoru-kun ni Bangaihen de Shukufuku wo! is published under the same seinen light novel label Dengeki Bunko and for now there are 2 volumes released of it.

A manga thats based on the original light novel is serialized in the seinen novel magazine Dengeki hp (which is a magazine that serializes light novels for young men, but it seems that this is the only manga thats serialized in it), and it started recently serializing in the magazine so no volumes out of this manga yet.

Since I succceeded in capturing a 30 second commercial of Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! while recording The Third, I've upped it here.

Takahashi Mikako doing a tsundere character gives me Hantsuki vibes, though 24 eps is a lot to digest.

Thanks for the trailer! What exatly she said in the end, the last spoken line? It sounded like: "Do you like stundere onee-sans?"

(Yes, very much :heh: )

NeoSam 2006-09-15 18:23

Great :D 24 episodes :D

Ahh volume 8 of the light novel got #5 in sales according to Animedia magazine (list here) :)

Radiosity 2006-09-15 19:21

Thankees for the trailer eggplant, +rep incoming and stuff :) The green-haired boy is in fact rather short, so those pictures are pretty much spot on with him looking tiny.

edit: Any more detailed info on air date? I'm quite looking forward to this one, and 'Autumn' is kinda vague, being as it encompasses 3 entire months.
