To Love-ru -Trouble- Darkness [anime]

Oh my god, and you people thought I was mad for wanting an anime adaptation. :D

The animeanime.jp website reports that the anime adaptation of Saki Hasemi and Kentaro Yabuki's To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness manga will run on television.
Oh sure, they'll probably censor the hotter stuff, but at this point I don't give a damn anymore. :heh:

Yami deliciousness and being animated and voiced will make up for it.

WTFFFFFFFFF

Spoiler for yes:

Archon_Wing 2012-04-01 04:42

That would not be a funny joke at all. :(

But it's not like Xebec hasn't done what is practically softcore porn before.

Should've been a 6 Episode OVA by PIXY with an OVA released every 3 month.

Better to be directed by Teruaki Murakami. I've been thinking of two of his previous OVA, Taimanin Asagi (which makes me laugh) and Ingrid (the character design reminds me of some random Bleach H-dojinshi). :heh:

I've watched the entire TLR franchise, why stop now?

So is Kana Hanazawa going to voice the character of Mea Kurosaki, since Mea is clearly an "expy" of Suou Pavlichenko from Darker than Black, just like Konjiki no Yami is based off of Eve from Black Cat and both are voiced by Misato Fukuen?

Unfortunately this new series is mainly centred around Momo and Yami, so fans of the other girls are probably going to be somewhat disappointed. I was hoping to hear more of Kaori Nazuka as Yui Kotegawa myself.

Unlikely. Remember tha she already voices Mikan. True, it is not rare to see one seiyuu working on multiple roles on the same project, but it would be really weird if this happened here.

You should rest assured regarding Yui though. The manga develops her character a lot, so you should be able to see a fair share of her in the anime as well.

On another hand, I would like to see they change Rito's seiyuu though. Watanabe Akeno is good and all, but I think that in this sort of work the protagonist deserves a proper MALE voice.

Why would Kana Hanazawa voicing two roles in one series be weird? It's not uncommon in anime series. And besides, hasn't she been itching to play an evil character for a while now?

I hope she does. From what I remember of the manga she doesn't get many pages where she's focussed on.

And I wonder how Misato Fukuen will handle the "Yami and Rito's hands are stuck together" arc, if they decide to animate that one. It's guaranteed that such an arc will be a sure seller for the Blue-Ray discs.

I think Kana-chan already got her fill of evilness with Nadeko. Also, it's uncommon for a seiyuu to play two major roles in a single series (not that I know if this Mea is a major figure, since I don't follow the story at all).

She is, since she's tied to someone who may eventually become the main antagonist of the series (the big bad hasn't fully revealed herself as of yet).

And if they follow the manga's events closely, Misato Fukuen (Yami's VA) is going to be pulling double duties as well, so Hanazawa won't be alone.

So a correction was released to the news that this would be a TV Anime, which says that this was a premature statement and that details about the medium/release format haven't been announced. So that doesn't necessarily mean that it won't be a TV anime, but them going out of their way to correct it suggests that the producers aren't ready to announce that yet. It could end up being an OVA series after all; we'll see...

tl;dr: Announcement real, but release format unknown.
