I know a lot of people here aren't fans of the classics or the older UC stuff. I just finished this kit on sat and am fairly proud of how it came out. It is fully painted and detailed and the decals are form samuel decal.
Spoiler for MG RX-78-3 2.o:

Question: Does the HG Exia and HG Astraea F share the same feet? I mean color differences aside?

As for me, I rarely use anything more than Gundam markers for panel lines and that's enough for me. I am proud that I build my toys, anyways. Ah, and somehow I like the quality of my pictures, too, so I can share the beauty of my kits with you, fellas ;) It's not for praise, but to show my happiness of actually owning those. |

Hello all, I have been lurking on this board for almost 5 years and have now decided to join in on the fun. My first question is, Do you need to paint or detail Master grade kits or are they "model ready" out of the box ?
|
Depends on your preference. They are model ready to be honest but personal painting can always be improved over the original.......if you have the skills and willing to pour in the time and effort.
Truth be told anything that comes from the box can be improved over the original but MG kits are good even from the box. It depends on your preference and the level you Wang to achieve. |

before attempting to paint you should try to take care of the nub marks and maybe try painting on a cheaper HG kit, so that you dont accidentally spoil your MG with lousy painting. |

I was thinking of painting a HG Gadessa to look like Healing Cares as my first try at painting.. :p too look similar to this..

ive done most of the painting on my 144 akatsuki. i only need to paint the beam rifle and the beam saber. i dont have clear pink nor clear red paint to use on the beam saber. is it possible to make a flat pink and use some paint thinner to make it clear to get a color close to the saber colour?
ive tried a test with the etching decals on a runner, i really like the etching decals. it sure beats using water to apply decals. |
