While none of the School Rumble anime series have been licensed yet, they are produced by MFI, therefore we won't be listing fansubs here on AnimeSuki. See Removal of Media Factory Inc. Works for details.

Nothing bad happens... its almost identical to the manga. I dont see where Eggplant gets off saying that flag fans will be dissapointed. At this point we all know (or should anyway) That SR is not close to a conclusion. Still....

Anyway, this is like the penultimate flag arc so far... there is better stuff still to come imo, but everyone has to realize that there is no conclusion yet to the ongoing manga so if they are thinking that we will get one of any kind this season they are probably really off the mark.

avoiding dumb useless garbage discussion in episode 16 thread

anyway, i'm an admitted flag person*, and i wasn't really disappointed, but i also knew what to expect from the manga, even though i sighted minor nuances here and there

*clarifying this, i say i'm a flag person because i admit the relationship between harima and eri is cute and sentimental, but it does not necessarily mean i want them together nor do i care if they do get together like that--and normally i want to stab people in the face with a thousand bees for misconceptions like this as i do not like to be misunderstood ! which is ironic for a school rumble environment yessir

but despite the comedy premise, the relationship between eri would be better off distant anyway, and these characters are young to begin with and they really should be worrying more about education or else matt striker will teach them a thing or two ...! as he pairs up with michelle mccool

also i am kind of curious to see how eri would react once she finds out whatever about harima and his own intentions, but as i doubt that will ever happen seeing kj's formula, i don't put high hopes into it

anyway, i'm seeing people trying to anticipate what will go on in the anime, but geez louise, the manga is already far ahead of the anime and will pretty much lay out what is going to happen for the most part IN the anime, so really, get a clue and learn to learn

god i want to punch some people in the face with trucks

just read up from chapter 151 up to 154 in the manga and that'll pretty much tell you what is happening in episode 17 more or less

and no stupid gundam posts are deep and "enlightening" enough to give you that kind of common sense

I've seen the raw and i gotta say it really follows the manga. The other SR characters got a little on screen time too.

omg....i just watched my dose of RAW ep 17 a min ago. ur right dude........the whole fuuta-kun scene is one of the beeeeestest highlight of this episode. I guess hanai is not as strong as he did back in sport festival. I feel kinda sorri for him, but it was too hilarious that I forgot how sorri i am.




the para para thing with tenma.......that was awesome too. it cracked me up cuz i used to play that stupid arcade when i was 16.....and i was pretty good at it too....:heh: BTW, who is choushuu koriki? its so obscene how they draw him in this episode.......kinda giving me mental damage watching tenma doing para para with him on his silky black speedo.....creeepyyy:eyespin:

i agreed with you on the ED song too. It sounds a little bit like azumanga stuffs. though the ED itself was pretty cool and funny. I like the new ED better than the older one.......except for the song.

they shouldnt have ended the main story so abruptly like that. the hanai part was ok, but more of the marriage action would have been nice. the glasses part was great though. i wonder why they changed the ending. and the main question on everyone's mind is, "Why does Tenma keep a pair of Harima's glasses in her pocket?" i think kuuta-kun is a red ringtailed panda?

good point. if she hates him so much for being "a monkey", why she keep his glasses with her? probably she felt sorry for kicking him out of the house and was meaning to return the glasses whenever she meet him the future.

kuuta-kun is a panda? i dunno man.....but from my perspective that thing look more like a mix between a racoon and a bear. its so hideous but yet funny. And the tsukamoto sisters seem to be fascinated by that creature.

One thing that I don't get. We all know that deep down in her heart, eri likes harima....a lot. but why she double kicked him when tenma put back the glasses on him? She sure got a weird way to show her affection towards him.

The ending is so good I had to translate it (I also happened to dislike the other ending :) )

It really does follow the manga, so no further explaining to do, except for the added scenes.


In any case, PERFECT 10! Argueably the best SR Ni Gakki episode. :D

Gyahaha I just loved that drop kick! It was reminiscent of season one. Think about it this way: she probably didn't like the fact that all this time the nice motorcycle guy was the guy she liked. I mean, I'd done the same if I found out at the wrong moment :heh:

Well, lots of girls hit the guys they like. I'm not going to name names....Naru. :heh: :heh::uhoh: :heh:

Let's see, I did a note about block words of late, but reaction words? Probably the most funniest moment that hit me like a truck was Hanai's reaction to "tsukamoto" :heh: And lol, that mutated racoon-munk was "lovely" :heh:

See, the thing I should remember, is that when a serious moment is in cross with a Tenma-chan moment, the end result is just bound to be non-serious :heh: and here I was hoping for an intimate moment between Eri-chan and Harima.

The ED was really nice too, now to rip it, seek out the CD, and do whatever it takes to have this song repeating in my head for the days ahead :heh:

Anyway, great ep, flag ftw! Doesn't look like they excluded anything from the manga, but they did add a few things, like the near-crash with the 18-wheeler.

Personally I loved the drop-kick even more than when I read it in the manga, it was so hilarious to watch :D

Brilliant episode. This one gets a 10 from me as well.
I liked how they shifted the balance away from the omiai and towards the temple scene. It made the scenes much more effective than they were in the manga. Also, the way that they handled Harima's reactions and added the "sparkle-vision" moment really strengthened the moment. I'm really looking forward to see the follow up of this story arc next episode.

The anime approach to this was a little different, and I think it does a better job of explaining the drop kick. In this ep, from Eri's vantage point when she walks in, Harima looks like he's molesting Tenma. Some alternate reasons could be the fact that Harima tricked her with his "fake identity" or perhaps she even suspected him of being the guy who she was being forced to marry. Personally, I think they were just looking for a reason to revisit the classic "Shining Wizard" moment. ;)

The ending switch was well timed. Not only does this event mark a turning point in the story, but we can finally replace the brooding Eri from the last ending with the cheerful one from this ending. :D
