Haha MG Ex-S.
The mother of all bricks!

I want a MG Kshatriya (or when I land a better job and it wont come ill get the resin I geuss)

Winchester 2010-08-11 11:46

Don't care if it lacks posability and whatnot, it's big, has loads of detail, and a truckload of parts. It will take at least a week to build, and building it is the fun part!

Is there *any* hope whatsoever of a HGUC V2 Gundam in the relatively near future? Sure, I could get the 1/144 no grade, but that's a fifteen+ year old kit that won't look very good next to the HGUCs I want to display it with...

Yes they are. Just not sure if all of them can be hand held.

I'm really hoping for trans clear coloured parts for Harute: Specifically his green GN blade and purple visor. It would really suck if those were just trans clear...

Bandai usually release the Condenser Blades in green, so I think THAT is safe at least. The visor I think is more unlikely.

I think its a pity that Bandai doesn't make more models of the 00 side stories, I find their designs to be particularly awesome, even as good as the main series designs.

That doesnt mean they wont. Bandai was just in the middle of milking some of those who compatible runners. I'm hoping they'd do more too.

And of course, said connectors are conspiciously absent from the actual drawing of the Bits themselves, leading me to believe they're a model-kit only concession. :heh:

Its cool then, two is good enough even if its an accident. I just want mine to be able to do it.

So with cutting off some pegs you can glue them, if you are a good modeler I would rather mod 00Q's backpack to have the mounts but still, It should be pretty easy.

I think I'd cut the pegs and use the modeling cement on them. And if cement wont work I can just paint the surface and stick it before it dires right. I swear paint is the strongest permanant glue I've seen........

More like trolling western fans, we already pay shitloads of money to import/ship them over.

anyway I think the rumored 2010 PG will be 00Qan[T] due to PG 00raiser having chest space for a GN drive and all.

Has anyone tried Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear Satin as a topcoat before? If anyone has used it, what is the quality like? And what is the difference between Satin and Flat? I'm looking for a matte finish so which one would be best? And also, if I am going to spray this over just panel lines and decals (no paint) to make plastic seem/feel less plastic-y is this the right choice?

I would prefer to use this than Mr. Topcaot since the Krylon is in a local store near me. =D
Here is the website for it: http://www.krylon.com/products/acrylic_crystal_clear/ (i'm referring to the flat/satin colors even though the website image says gloss =D )
Thanks in advance.

That Krylon is a gloss coat so you wont get a matt finish. If there is another Can of that stuff that says Clear and Flat then id say try it out. I for one have no used the product but i thought id give you a heads up from the webpage you linked us. Good luck.

Haha i looked back at that webpage link and they do have the Flat clear coat. Don't bother with Gloss or Satin, I think satin is a semi gloss.. but i could be wrong.

not really, I never like the clear see through models. I only care about the special addons versions.

I don't see the point in clear HGs, there's not really any frame to see...

Project that I've been currently working on, a Gouf Custom resin conversion kit for the Gouf 2.0 frame. Here's the progress details: http://gamerabaenre.com/gouf_conv_prog.htm

The kit is still in progress so here's a teaser picture:

Baring anything catastrophic happening, I should have this sucker completely by the end of this weekend...

Beautiful Gouf. It looks really menacing.

Someone should try modding the 00 Quanta shield so that it can hold 00 Gundam equipment, such as 0 Raiser wing binders, 00 Seven Sword/G equipment, etc.

Anyone have a suggestion for a conventional/easily available glue-ish thing that I can use for tightening ball joints? I'm not very experienced with super glue and cement, so I'm not that keen on using those.

Someone used blu-tack...

bio9205 2010-08-16 02:46

As for super glue - what kind do I use, and how do I use/apply it? The super strong version?

I guess you could use any super glue really, as long as it doesn't melt/mold the plastic peices together. I'd apply a thin layer on the ball, let it dry and see if it's tight enough then, don't put it in the socket while it's not dry, to be safe.

How's the estimated ETA to the 1/100 releases? I must own Zabaniya and Harute in their full glory. Wallet be damned, I want them with full gimmicks!

LightningZERO 2010-08-17 03:28

StratoSpear 2010-08-17 05:15

It'd be cool if they have the 6-eyes gimmick for the 1/144 Harute

Probably not, even if it does, it'll be part-swapping with a new head. 1/144's too small to do this...

Anyway, I LOVE the Harute. Can't wait to get my grubby paws on it... :D

duotiga 2010-08-17 06:36

im so gonna get harute  maybe 2? =x

Personally, I'd recommenda againts using superglue. I've personally had bad experience with them as far as ball joints are concerned. They can stick, problem is that that once you forcibly move them around the cohesion breaks and they become even looser than before. Thats just my experience however. Maybe my superglue just sucks, I'm sure different ones would work differently in practice but its just the experience I have with mine.

My prefered solution is painting the surface of the joint and then wait for it to dry. It makes it a stronger joint in general. I've only used black however, I remember reading that advice once on this thread and it has work wonders for me personally. Painting the inside part of where the joint connects to helps too.

Just dont connect when its still wet, otherwise its impossible to remove. Wait till it dried completely. Just painting with a brush is enough.

I can't take my eyes away from that red crotch...

Anyway, how much sticker do you guys think this model have?

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-08-17 20:19

Why did they wait this long to make an awesome entry into the Kyrios line?

Kyrios = awesome, Arios = meh (even with GNHW/M), Harute = fantastical.

I'm guessing the cockpit, chest, eyes, arm circles, and maybe even the yellow pieces on the head (hopefully not)

On a side note, if i were to spray the inner frame of the MG Red Frame Astray with topcoat, if some of the topcoat were to go into the joints, would it cause the joints to seize up and not move anymore once its dried?

Though, it might be standing because of the support from the two large guns.

The yellow "v-fins" on the head would definitely be molded in color, since they're large visible items afterall.

From previous pics the large grey sliver on the middle of the rifles (on the "blade" ) are definitely stickers, and they'll be using a sticking for the flight module "cockpit" (although unlike the Kyrios and Arios the part is made of glass now, so the sticker goes underneath).

YaminoSeigi 2010-08-17 23:08

Definitely Harute's Fighter mode look the best compared to Allelujah's previous Gundams

just need to see when it will be in action

Gevurah 2010-08-18 03:01

I placed the QAN[T]'s binder on my 00 XN Raiser Eleven Sword G for some lulz.
