done!

http://www.abload.de/img/foto0704ycws.jpg

for a change i also threw on all the decals and seals that came with it because they do look pretty cool and it wasnt that many in the first place.
also wing gundam EW next to it for a small size comparision^^ this thing is REALLY big. not as big as i thought it would be but for a master grade its pretty massive

JC... 2011-04-20 06:48

I want that. Core fighter too! Have you read Sentinel? I'm in the process of reading it, Ex-S hasn't shown up yet though...

i do panel line them but on the ex-s its just not very visible on the front. most pieces that i lined turned out to be hidden somewhere under more armor parts >_>
on the previous page you can see my wing up close. even though i hate that picture because i forgot one line on the knee :P

oh by the way, on the stand EX-S is just as tall as my PG astray.

JC... 2011-04-20 07:55

How sturdy is the MG EX-S?

very sturdy actually. but thats not really a big surprise because you use about 15 or so screws while building it^^
the joints are stiff enough to hold all poses but also smooth enough to pose the limbs easily. only the big propellant tanks are pretty lose because they are just on polycaps. but other than that nothing pops off or falls down.
the only problem is that it is so very overloaded with stuff which makes posing kinda difficult.

I think I'm on the verge of selling my PG Astray. Its built so I don't know if it will sell. It has bonus parts, as well as a bunch of stuff that I didn't build for it like the shield, rifle, and stand for katanas.

http://i54.tinypic.com/242wf7m.jpg

My issue though is the price the kits are going for that aren't built. An unbuilt one looks to go as low as $220. I got the kit for $250(?) when it was first released. I'd really like to get some extra money for the hours put into it.... IDK...

Why do you even want to sell it? That piece of awesome should be the crown of your collection, or close to it, right? And it's even the initial production version, so gone is gone...

I just need some money. I like the way I mixed the clear parts for it, but other than that, thats the only thing I like about it right now. Honestly, I'd like it more if it had a stand though. The only reason why I have it displayed is because I spent alot of time and money on it.

Akyra 2011-04-21 08:38

The 2nd photo's in HK I think? I think that's 1/35 scale? It was awesome though! :D

Tamashii OOQ Quantum Burst for September. Limited or Mass Market release unknowned.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2011-04-21 16:16

They're exclusives from the blogs I've seen it mentioned at. I don't think Bandai would make that a mass release.

And if they do, I'm gonna be pissed off.

whats better MG Exia OR Exia Ignition Mode? Can one make the ignition gimmick in normal mg exia?

The MG Exia in both the standard and Ignition mode are identical, thus if you already have an MG Exia, you can use the Exia Repair parts on one of them. And of course, the Ignition Mode has two LED's you can use for the Exia itself, or for the MG 00 Qan[T] and the upcoming MG 00 Raiser.

If you don't care much for such gimmicks though, then stick to the standard one. :heh:

its a robot damashi action figure. they didnt announce a MG yet but since bandai is giving wing so much love lately we will probably see a tallgeese^^

I wonder if when they release a MG tallgeese, they'll add the tallgeese II parts as well (Ignition Mode style) or release the different versions separately. The wing EW kits indicate that bandai'll go pretty far in selling us slightly altered versions of the same suit (the TV. version suits had way more differences between their first and second incarnations, barring H-arms and sandrock) but the first two 'Geeses are almost identical....

edit: Nevermind, just remembered the Red/Blue Frames.... of course Bandai'll milk it till blood comes out...

Spoiler for Bigass Ex-S:

It's the perfect size to dress that kid up in it.

i expect bandai to give us all 3 suits seperately. they always do that. they love selling us the same plates over and over again...
personally i dont have THAT much of a problem with it. usually i just buy one of those then. like the deathscythe: i dont plan to get the deathscythe EW but i will pick up the deathscythe hell EW sooner or later.

and yes, that EX-S really does look like the kid could wear the parts^^

JC... 2011-04-23 04:44

I'm so happy the GM III has been anounced! Anyone else getting it?

GrahamAker 2011-04-23 04:53

Is there any conversion kit for Mg exia to turn it into Exia R2?

The RG Strike, placed along side with the RG RX-78 and the HG OO Condenser Type.

Looks kind of plain when compared with the RG RX-78, doesn't it ? Makes one wonder if it's just a HG with an internal frame.

the armor of the RX-78-2 has different colors, a white and some grey bits. but the strike is all white... so yeah, once i saw promo pictures i thought it looks kinda plain

Araxiel 2011-04-23 18:07

Look closely at the Strike, particularly the thighs and the top parts of the front skirt armour. It's got some colour variation too.

Random note: I built my 1/144 Delta Plus the other day. It's got two beam saber blades supplied, but only one handle. Odd.

Kitaeryu 2011-04-23 22:21

Also, I think that Rx-78-2 has its decals and stickers put on, while the Strike doesn't if I'm not mistaken. If so, you do have to keep that in mind when looking at that picture.

my MG wing EW came with two blades too but it also has only one handle. however, the runner for the blades was taken from MG wing zero EW which has two handles. they probably did the same thing with the delta plus.

~Destiny~ 2011-04-24 04:57

The RG Strike does have slightly different tones in the armor, it's just not as painfully obvious as the RX-78-2. And it's been mentioned but lack of decals also plays a big part

Come to think of it, the saber blades were on a seperate runner all on their lonesome, so I guess it must be that. Still unusual they didn't stick a second handle on the runner- the handle's on a little bit attached to the side of the runner proper, so it seems giving it even one was an afterthought. :p
On the other hand, since they're generic blades they're compatible with a good few things, so my Duel is now sporting a fetching new blue beam saber blade.

MoonLightShadows 2011-04-24 18:03

After heero breached the bunker an the gundam pilots self-destructed the gundams, Heero left wing zeros wreckage on the ground. A group of mercenarys (like Ali Al Saachez) couldnt deal with the fact the war was ending took what was left of wing zero an rebuilt it an painted it. To Continue their thirst for war.
