Great news. I actually didn't really expect this RPG-esque fantasy LN to be adapted because its narrative is so lopsidedly focused. I mean, it's sort of like the medieval, darkly philosophical version of "Sakamoto desu ga?". White Fox is also responsible for Arifureta, so let's see how they do with this one...

Are they going to do volume 1 of the LN with a little bit of Year one for the first season?

It isn't isekai though.

Yeah, let me clarify. Goblin Slayer has RPG-like classes, parties, an adventurer's guild, a quest system, and other cliche RPG fantasy elements. But the characters are all born and raised in that world. It's not a story where the protagonist is summoned or reincarnated from Earth.

(In retrospect, I also probably gave people the wrong impression by referencing Sakamoto desu ga. I only referenced it because it's a story where the protagonist is weirdly talented at some things, and sticks out like a sore thumb.)

Right, this more like "Is Wrong to Pick Girls in A Dungeon?", fantasy world with game mechanics (classes, adventure guilds, stats etc) built into it's setting. Though I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking so at first since what sets these kinds of series apart from Isekai is almost razor thin with how much else they share in common outside whether the protagonist is from another world or not.

Looking forward to this, I like the light novels a lot, although I wonder how much material will be adapted, not to mention what the rating will be. This series is at times a lot darker than the typical light novel stuff.

Its nice to hear an announcement that isn't an isekai nor have a ridiculously long title.

Best news of year. I hope anime will do justice to High Elf Archer.

It would be further lambasting the timeslot if Gobslayer DOES make it to Noitamina.

As if Shiki and Psycho-Pass aren't gory enough.

It's not even the gore that makes Gobslayer unfit for Noitamina.

I am pretty sure they won't animate the first chapter the way the manga did. That would be... a little much.

I must say that the LN really deserves an anime adaptation

I would not be so sure, some series has been surprising me lately, but personally, I would be happy if the hunts were done faithfully, I do not care about sexual violence.

Not even surprised about this annoucement, saw that coming and the same for Danmachi S2.

Now we need a good staff to make this shine because GS deserves it. I have to say this will probably be a 3-vols adaptation with all the gore included, other series did it before so I can't see why they wouldn't.

Anyways, White Fox delievered incredibly good adaptations like Re:Zero so I have faith on them.
