AnimeSuki Forum - Licensed Magi - Labyrinth of Magic [manga]

Well, count me as the newest member to jump on the Magi bandwagon! :) I just started the series earlier this week and right now I'm about 40 chapters in. Definitely a fun series. Reminds me a lot of One Piece in a few ways, which is definitely a great thing. However, I can't really say who my favorite character is now since I'm not caught up to the latest translation like the rest of you guys, but I am really liking Alibaba the most so far. I'll post again once I've gotten a bit further caught up.....

About wiping the floor with Judal, not so sure about that. In Balbadd (I think) he said he just learned gravity magic, so he could still be learning magic as well.

I've been following this series for a while and the thing that bothers me;

According Judal there are only 3 magi: Judal, Yunan and Scheherazade, a fourth shouldn't exist because that would only happen if one of the three existing ones died. So he raised his doubt about Aladdin in front of Sinbad.

Then according to Sinbad in chap 112 there's no positive proof that Scheherazade is an actual Magi. In other words, her accomplishments give that impression.

Isn't Scheherazade from the laem empire the fake here and Aladdin the actual 3rd Magi?

I think as long as one got the protection of rukh (which they could use to get unlimited supply of magoi) then they're magi. Scheherazade also seem to have 'guidance of rukh'.... while that doesn't really explain that she's a real magi, I think it implied that she is, in fact, a real magi.

That could be the case yeah but perhaps there are some exceptions to the rule. I still find it an odd word-choice of the author to describe her.

I just can't help it but to think that she's some godly being or elf that resembles the Magi especially with her 200 years.

I thought it was hinted that he was Solomon's reincarnation (or so)?
Especially when he talked to that princess how 'his country' was destroyed.
