So Masako's father left because he was in bad term with his father, who considered him a looser and wanted Mario to succeed him. But Masako wanted to get her father back and dreamed ever night to kill her grandfather. Who stupidly killed himself with some fugu.
Until that point, the only odd thing in my opinion is Kanba visiting her at night. I suspect his parents are dead already so nobody cares if he goes wandering at night like this... Tho since he is wearing the Kiga logo, I guess he is already working for them.

But then, fast forward to present time and things get more complicated:
-Was Masako imagining things when Mario says being her grandfather himself? What is that Natsume curse she talks about?
-Her father dealt with those men in black from Kiga group and... died?
-Kanba was chosen to be part of that group/organization (says Sanetoshi)
-But the world is... wrong? (damn, how is that even possible?)
-Masako believed Sanetoshi was helping her to save Mario because he was just an innocent kid
-He helped her because she was chosen (by him) and only if she acted in concert with him
-Sanetoshi'w goal : get the world back (for himself)

What I get from it :
Sanetoshi was the one giving Mario the apple (like Himari) and also the hat, with possibly Sahei's soul inside. He also gave her Masako weapon.

What is that link Kanba talks about between Masako and him? Why should they be both cursed? They didn't kill her grandfather after all. So why would they be cursed? o_O For wishing it?
Sanetoshi want the World back? He seems to imply it was taken from him... I really don't get who that guys is supposed to be anymore.

Now a father that run away orders his daughter to kill his father and until his father is dead he won't comeback. It's funny Masako attempts all those silly murder plot in her dream. And her grandfather is one hell of a guy. Too muscular for his age and his assistant that speaks english all the time is one funny guy. Interesting story and revelation about the organization. We are also shown on the side of Masako when she enters the train. And it's all black. Masako's father was the same as Kanba too. A member or chosen people to change the world. I'm really interest on that organization. But as Kanba goes closer and closer to that side. His been getting farther and farther away from Himari. They even show Ringo and Shouma and now Ringo is Shouma's stalker :D nice upgrade for Ringo.

I completely agree, I haven't seen the episode yet but as soon as I saw that quote (from someone on Twitter) this what I immediately had in mind and I figured people will get the wrong idea & think Ringo has gone off the deep end again

Also if I am not mistaken it was Shouma who first told (or at least brought to her attention) that she was stalking Tabuki which is another nice call back to that.

I also think Shouma needs a girl like Ringo who is not going to let him go or give up on him easily because he's the type who thinks he doesn't deserve happiness. Ringo needs to work hard and at least she realizes it now.

Anyways for me this is a positive Shouma/Ringo development.

And for me the fact that Ringo is going to fight for Shouma (which is what she really means by "stalker") no matter what he says is a positive thing and actually something different from the rejection scene in episode 14 when she just gave up.

Yes on one hand I would have liked to see things resolved but on the other hand story-wise it probably shouldn't be that easy. And yes Shouma & Ringo might not get together until the end (or closer to) but it might just be more satisfying that way when Shouma does realize what Ringo means to her in the same way she realized what he meant to her.

While the episode had some drama it was also pretty amusing in its over-the-top ness. Masako's dreams were messed up and that guy speaking in English "Mr President" was hilarious :heh:

Looking forward to seeing what little Kanba and little Masako spoke about.

If I am not mistaken this was the first time we saw the Princess of the Crystal and the Rock Over Japan scene since episode 12. I was wondering what happened to her. But still that scene was definitely a surprise.

And it seems so far all the "violating scenes or almost violating scenes" have been done by women (well excepting the Yuri & her dad thing but that was more a parent/child thing I think) which I also feel is a subversion.


And finally who are those "men in black" and what is Kanba actually doing for them.

Oh and I loved Esmeralda on the globe. She's such a fabulous penguin. :heh:
