Spoiler for :):

Pretty moody episode again with some narrative from Nagato's point of view.

Imo, Asakura and Kyon are the lights of that dark tunnel.

I guess new Nagato = Bug Nagato :heh:?

This might have been my favorite episode. Chihara Minori's voice went back to the original (the real?) Nagato Yuki. And her doubt and uncertainty came through. Can it be that the original Haruhi's remaking of the world is falling apart? I feel as if the real Nagato Yuki will soon break through into consciousness again -- perhaps in the library?

The use of muted sound is the first part was a nice touch I though. It's really nice to see the thought that's been put into mood setting.

Another nice melancholic episode. Still a big shift from the rest of the series with the cute-awkward Nagato, but its a refreshing shift.

Glad they animated that part where Asaskura said if she's stressed out, she might suddenly stab Kyon. :heh: That was one of my favorite funny moments in the manga. Having Nagato sort of turn into her original Haruhi self is interesting, but if Asakura goes yandere (and she's already a lot more protective of Nagato than Disappearance Asakura was), Kyon is in big trouble.

And title drop of course. I didn't mind the original silly atmosphere but I like the current serious storyline too. Helps that it keeps the focus on the main three of Nagato, Asakura and Kyon (with Haruhi shooed off to the side due to exams).

Is it possible to be more protective of Nagato than she was in Disappearance? If I recall correctly, she actually did stab Kyon, threatened to kill anyone or anything that scared her, did a very yandere face grope, and then stabbed Kyon again.

I might be wrong on this, but the Nagato from the movie only briefly met Kyon at the library. They weren't friends with each other. The same would somewhat extend to Ryouko Asakura. Kyon and Ryouko were classmates but I don't think they were really good friends. They might have talked to each other since they sit real close.

In the current series, they are good/close friends. Stabbing a close friend is a lot worse IMO.

Yuki Nagato is creeped out by Asakura's mothering hen ways.

Yuki isn't in love with Kyon but is trying to confirm if she can as well.

So it seems that this spin-off is getting a bit serious on this episode. Loved the melancholic atmosphere on Episode 11.

Meanwhile, I feel that Yuki Nagato will not return to her klutzy personality on this spin-off!

It'll depend on whether or not there are 12 or 16 episodes. I'm personally not sure which figure is real and which one isn't, to be honest.

Hmm, I wonder what'll happen if the series actually ends with Nagato staying with the "robotic" personality.

Since it would kinda fit the title... being the normal Nagato "disappeared" LOL

On other note, I kinda like the normal Nagato, cause she looks a lot more fun to be around with. That and she likes games instead of books ;P

The new "old" Nagato is basically the reverse of Normal Nagato of this world.

Finally came around to watch this episode. The OST is great as always... *.*

Kyon inviting Nagato to visit a library felt very old Haruhi-series like (And also him stopping in his tracks seeing reading Nagato... don't tell me he diggs emotionless Nagato a little more than moeblob Nagato? It this it Kyon? Dat Ayanami-moe? Yeah, I totaly can relate, dude! xD)

And it was nice to see "classic" Nagato living her daily life and Asakura and Kyon starting to grow accustom to this Nagato and treating her like normal. True that the old Nagato not being there doesn't mean the new one is to be shunned.

To bad we didn't saw Haruhi's reaction about all of this bu he, maybe she surprises me and goes all: "What are you talking about? Yuki is Yuki, what's supposed to be so different about her?" xD

Patriot's Blade 2015-06-18 04:03

i think stoic robot Yuki does not work as show considering made worse that this is her own show thus the main focus, which is probably depressing to watch without any lively characters to balance things out such as Haruhi & the other members, though ironically Haruhi is quiet busy right now hence why she isn't present there which makes me wonder how would she react to Yuki's current condition compared to her other universe incarnation. :heh:

Ithekro 2015-06-18 05:15

Somehow I think the universe would implode if Haruhi of this universe found this version of Yuki.
