Was a fun read at first, then became a bore when he became too overpowered. I enjoyed the struggles on the early parts of his evolution but when he got too much power it became super easy, barely an inconvenience for him. The later arcs became monotonous and uninteresting once he expanded his actions. We'll see how it goes I guess.

The production of this anime is very late. Nowadays even necklines cause controversy, so either it will be heavily censored or it will be criticized by the anime new fanbase.

Well, considering the Series uses the concepts of Rape, Drugging, Forced Coerced Sex, Forced Pregnancy, Blackmail, Slavery, Stockholm Syndrome, etc.
It's obvious the Modern Woke Anime Only Fanbase would heavily criticize this Series, like they do with Shield Hero or Mushoku Tensei.

I heard it started interesting but author quickly ran out of ideas. And also that Goblin Slayer was written because its author hated this work.

I remember the manga. The protagonist is reborned in isekai as a goblin, and it is somewhat similar to the Slime Isekai series. The difference is the humans are his main preys.

Not really, as he doesn't actively fight any humans and even avoids it if possible.
But if they attack, he does counter back hard.

First episode was interesting (and bloody) enough I suppose. I enjoyed the manga version a while back but kinda lost interest so I'll see if this rekindles my interest.

magnuskn 2024-04-01 19:39

Hrm. Yeah, I can see why the guy who did Goblin Slayer wrote his stuff after seeing this. Geeze.

Anyway, I'll keep with it for another episode or two, but I can easily see it going full derp edgelordy.

grecefar 2024-04-01 20:00

Even before seeing this comment, while watching, I was thinking how Goblin Slayer would want to hunt these goblins down lol.

magnuskn 2024-04-08 17:25

Yeah, I don't think this anime is for me. I guess it's more for people who like that kind of power fantasy.

Tenzen12 2024-04-08 17:59

Ah yes, ol' good Stockholm Syndrome strikes again.

grecefar 2024-04-08 18:09

that was a mean red bear but gobrou now looks cooler and powerful.

HandofFate 2024-04-08 20:54

seemed to have toned things down a bit, in which case, what's the point?
With this kind of material, either go all out, or not at all.

That was my first thought too; they seem awful upbeat even though everyone else in their group was slaughtered by the goblins. Yea, the MC may not have been the one to do it, but he's still one of them so you'd think it would at least take some time for them to be able to deal with it. It's not even like we can just assume a month or two passed in the interim since the day count is such a big part of the show format.

MC is stronger willed than I; seeing those cook sisters would have broken my willingness to not ravish them, lol. Speaking of such, I was surprised the redhead wasn't getting in his bed for that. I thought ahh, she must be scared after the night incident so she feels sex will increase her worth to him to ensure he'll protect her aaaaand no she's just gonna sleep heh.

First episode didnt' sell me. Someone marketed this to me as reverse Goblin Slayer(dunno if its coincidental, with the connection to it mentioned here, or said friend read that it was somewhere), though I have yet to see the comparsion. The whole strategy component to kill the animals/monsters reminds me of early Dr. Stone more than anything. I'll give it another ep or 2, but I don't see myself sticking with this for long =01...
