No bad... not bad at all, Slaine

bakato 2015-01-24 11:22

Whoa. Slaine's traded up. Guess he had a plan after all.

I guess Saazbaum found Out What Happens if you turn your back on the WolfPAC (Well Slaine in this case)
You Will wind up in a body bag

bakato 2015-01-24 11:32

It also looks like Slaine's taken Saazbaum's name as his middle. Count Slaine Saazbaum Troyard.

ID555 2015-01-24 11:34

Sheeeit.... even I have to admit that was cool.

Death Usagi 2015-01-24 12:01

Such a twist.

They let Saazbaum live after Episode 12 but then finally kill him off Episode 15.

Only lived 3 more episodes further huh? =w=

Urobutcher's Episode 3 death influence in work here?

"Slaine of the Rebellion" is not just show, it seems
Good job, AZ
I am interested once more

bakato 2015-01-24 12:53

Wow. So the shot Slaine fired at the beginning are what took Saazbaum out.

Death Usagi 2015-01-24 12:59

I feel like Slaine will get attacked by those other two Counts later.

Also I feel like we need a "Just as planned" face for Slaine :heh:

Can't say I'm surprised by what Slaine did in the latest episode. Might have a hard time getting used to this though:

it official , Slaine turned full evil to all who said he was just acting on emotion , this episode will prove wrong ..

Todays episode was great, but does anyone know what happened to Inaho's sister Yuki!!?? Have they shown her since the series started and I missed it, did they write her character off or will she be appearing at some point? Inaho hasn't mentioned her either.. you'd think they would be fighting battles together ..

As seen by OP, she and Marito are still down at earth, in a different squadron.

So Slaine's plan was to somehow catch inaho in the volley, but was that apparently before Saucebomb showed up. I mean it was a good while after he came to assist before the first volley actually came down. Good thing for Saline he barely moves when he fights. It was also convenient that he never took notice of the fact that after he showed up Slaine stopped attacking entirely and just sort of floated there the whole time.

He might not have noticed when he went to duel inaho (the whole I will defeat him in order to regain my lost honor so you stay out of this mentality), but Slaine not attacking Inko when she appeared to assist inaho should have sent off huge warning bells. Why is Slaine doing nothing to assist me? Why is he just sitting there? Eh, I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about. My character and pretty much every other count is defined by extreme arrogance so I'm terrible at reading the reality of a situation. I wonder if Slaine's actions from the moment he showed up to just before the volley hit him ever even crossed his mind. We'll likely never know

Let's imagine no one came to assist either one of them and it was just Slaine vs Inaho. With all the flying about, swinging around and dodging they were both doing it's nearly impossible to ensure Inaho would remain still in just the right area. It's difficult to tell, but the actual area the volley covered appeared to be rather small.

Then when Saucebomb shows up not only does he just so happen to conveniently be right where Slaine needs him to be the whole time, Inko is able to destroy his barrier generator just before the volley comes down. Did Slaine plan for Inko to show up and destroy the barrier? All inaho did was reveal its location. It was rather hard for me to tell who was where at certain points in relation to everything else. It's hard for me to keep my bearings in these space duels.

So many random factors take me completely out of the experience. The sheer unlikeliness of all these for the most part uncontrollable factors makes for a scenario that could only exist in fiction. Isn't this entertaining? I wonder what the actual chances would have been for it to work out the way it did. The timing, positioning, and even certain actions all had to happen within specific windows. Entertaining as hell, but I don't buy it even for a second.

Um, wow lol. That was actually incredible, actually really incredible. I was amazed at the trap Slaine set, and damn, I even felt sorry for Saazbaum, who'd just named Slaine his son in order to protect him. He wasn't even bitter at the end. I have to give it up to Slaine, he's grown.

Other than that, Inaho was able to hit Slaine because Slaine can't predict that far ahead/two things at once? And I noticed something on Slaine's soles, like a chip or something.

GDB 2015-01-24 13:49

Great episode. I've been ragging it for a while, but they definitely stepped it up here. Inaho actually had to get some help, the other earth forces weren't useless, and Slaine is showing himself to be quite tactical.

Why did it take them so long? :heh:

Raziel1991 2015-01-24 13:52

So... now its Slaine himself who is destroying the dreams of peace Asseylum has and here I thought that Slaine stated when he was being tortured by Crutheo that he would not allow anyone to crush her dreams.

germanturkey 2015-01-24 13:53

that was a nifty plan. well done slaine. i'd like to think he was hit on purpose so sazzzzbomb would show up. and like he said, only inaho would figure out how to disable the barrier.

i think the things on the soles of his feet are magnetic/gravity things.

Cloudedmind 2015-01-24 13:56

I was expecting Slaine to kill off Saazbaum eventually, just not so soon. It is true that it would take a hell of a lot of perfect timings to pull off what Slaine did, still cool as hell though, in my book anyway. Not to mention their talk right before the second volley. Saazbaum naming Slaine his son just before was also a stroke of luck for Slaine. As Slaine now has all of Saazbaums resources at his disposal uncontested. Of course the other Knights aren't going to be to happy about this, and they'll definitely be a thorn in his side. Yet, I'm sure Slaine is expecting and possible even hoping for this, will possibly make taking them out later easier.

Anyway rest in peace Saazbaum, you were my favorite Vers character.
