Oh dear...by a stroke of misguided auction sniping I'll end up with two Hrududus.

Speaking of Hazels...
While I intended my next kits to be the Murasame (because I like it and I want to do a Sahaku colors custom) and the Delta Plus (because why not?) I found out that my usual place has all three HGUC Hazel kits (Custom, Advanced, Hazel II). I'm now pondering whether I should buy yet another kit (particularly given my backlog of kits...) |
Depends on what you plan to do with them. The fun of the AoZ Hazel kits was when Dengeki Hobby was putting out the add on stuff like the Hrududu and Primrose. That's why I'm a bit sad about losing my Hazel, since it had the Primrose chest/core fighter, the Hazel II Tri-Booster, the Advanced Hazel Sniper head (which IMHO is one of the coolest and unique Gundam-type heads), the Primrose Cannon, the Hrududu Blade Rifle extensions, the Advanced Hazel sub-arms and high-heel feet. EG I made this, only in Titans colors:
http://www.gunjap.net/site/wp-conten...12/05/1792.jpg EDIT: The magazine exclusives also tend to be tricky. More than once I've found that I need TWO of the same custom kit to make what I want. Two Hrududus are needed to make a Hazel Rah Second form. Two Primrose are needed to get a matching pair of the variant shoulder armor for the Hazel Owlsa. It still happens today. I got the Wing Gundam Zero Honoo add-on parts from Hobby Japan magazine--and found that I need to buy a SECOND magazine to get a pair of the feather knives shown in the illustration. FML. |
Okay this is going to be a problem because I have no idea where I'd find those addons and I don't read Dengeki hobby. <.<
Guess I'll just finish my backlog first: Sniper K9 (dog pack, mostly), Stark Jegan 413, ReZEL Commander, Zeta Plus A1, Jesta, CCA Jegan, and fix up my Banshee to be a Full Armor Banshee Norn. |
The add-ons are a limited run so ebay is probably your best bet.
Also @KCT: the sensor blad shield attachment allows you to mount two Shield Boosters, but nto in the way as illutrated, so you might need ot do some modding with that---or else use the angled shield holder from the Hrairoo kit. |

I got the Hrududu add-ons via YJA, eBay is a no-go for these kind of items. The problem with them is that they are very, very rare now since they're made in around 2006/2007 (typical situation where supplies simply dwindled up). By a stroke of luck I managed to snag two Primroses back then, since there's this shop near where I studied carried the Taiwanese version of DHM, when the T³ Arc forums (the only place dedicated to AoZ material as far as I recalled) informed about the release of those add-ons. With regards to the shields, I think the point is that I gonna need the Hrairoo kit...at some point. Speaking of those attachments I'm kind of surprised why no one attempted to make a third party version of them, probably the fact that AoZ is considered to be somewhat obscure outside of Japan? |

Finally finished RG Astrea. RG sure is very finicky. Small part that easily to fall over. other than that fun build. It certainly feel much more high quality compare to "hollow" HG. Since RG Astrea come with extra part that allow me to make F1/F2/Exia. Is really fun to swap the part to suit my taste. At the end I opt for F2 with F1 head and Exia GN Drive. Also it come with those wonderful arsenal. Cannot wait to make wonderful pose |
Anybody here any good red Gunpla? Besides the Red Warrior and anything piloted by Char, would prefer if it were a gundam type and is capable of flight.

I listed everything mostly red or partly red that I think mostly meets your requirements. Ill highlight the 75%+ red ones I also limited the list to Gundam Types UC - Gerbera Tetra (Made directly from the GP-04) SEED/DESTINY - Sword Impulse - Justice/Infinite Justice - Saviour - Aegis - Nebula Blitz - Astray Red Frame (HG with Flight Pack) Wing - Epyon (MG EW) Gundam X - Virsago/Virsago Chest-Break (Almost no kits for these two unfortunately, only 1/144 NG for both and 1/100 HG for the former) - Airmaster AGE - Gundam Legilis Memory of Eden Colors (Online Exclusive HG) - AGE-3 Orbital 00 - Astraea Type-F (HG/144 and NG/100, also a limited RG, but requires a RG Exia) - Throne Drei - Arche Gundam - Reborns Gundam - All TRANS-AM kits -Trollface- (All 00 Units by default of capable of full flight under gravity due to GN Particles) BF: - Exia DM - Amazing Red Warrior - Wing Zero Honoo |
Astrea type-F sounds nice, but getting it here in the philippines may be a problem due to how screwed up the stores tend to stock, I'll go straight to the warehouse in Quiapo to check if they have them.

Woo, got my Justice done! Or almost. Still need to panel line the Fatum and what not, but the build itself is done, lol. Think I'll leave it like this cause I saw this setup on this guy's blog and thought it looked rad lol.
Spoiler for for size:
Next up will probably be the HGUC Unicorn Destroy Mode... :heh: |

And nice Justice Blue-kun As a quick note the HGUC Unicorn NTD does have some problems |

Or is there something more serious? |
Nice Justice there. Maybe it's the all-red colour, but I'm really loving my RG Justice. Granted, the only other RG I have is the Exia, but the Justice just blows it away. I can't explain it. It's not like I'm a big fan of the Justice either, I like it but not as much as other suits.
On a side note, still waiting for my HG Transient and RG 00R pre-orders to arrive! Can't wait. |
I know what you mean, haha. I like the Freedom (a lot) better than the Justice, but the RG Justice looks really, really good. And to be fair, as a toy, I do think the Fatum ended up better realized than the Freedom's wings. The latter, at least mine, can be sort of finnicky and kind of a pain to display, lol.
It looks great once you finally get it right, though! Which makes me imagine how much more troublesome the RG Strike Freedom DRAGOONs must be. I might get it eventually, but to be fair I always preferred the two SEED suits to their GSD counterparts, so I'll probably branch out to Unicorn and probably X later before going back to some SEED kit. Especially since putting together the Justice, even though it was only my 2nd ever gunpla, felt waaaaaaay similar to the Freedom (which makes sense, considering they are both built by the same people and follow the same 'plans' lol). |

To add with what Skye said, HG Orbital is so awesome! Lots of color everywhere and here's me hoping for an MG (which most likely is impossible). It's totally worth it and i consider it as a very good HG. Fro MG, the MG Red Frame is quite nice. Though it has some unnecessary part separation, that could actually give you an option to paint them something else. MG Infinite Justice is quite good too, but definitely inferior in terms of details (and seamline removal). For RG, as you can see, RG Justice is quite nice. Still wishing for an MG though. |

Linked due to size.
Oh man, all this Feddie content that I have been building. In before "die Feddie" and so on. |
Whahahahaha, has anyone seen this?
Transformers, Zaku's in disguise! They keep calling it a transformer, but that can only be one thing. First Japan, then China, and now Turkey. Calling it now, in 50 years wars will be fought using mobile suits |
Turkey is the stronghold for Zeon supporters?

Okay, looks like these ARE color differences between the HGBF Crossbone and the HGUC Crossbone X1

has the anime even showed that the difference in Lucas's Crossbone having pearly white plastic compared to its other normal cameo versions including Mao's own version? i can't tell :heh:
|
I got some spending money, and I have this desperate urge to finally get meself a Zaku (long overdue too, 8 years of gunpla yet no Zaku?)
HALP ME PICK, TOO MUCH SELECTION @-@ (MG btw, leaning towards Char's 2.0 or the standard green J-type, which I think was the space one) |
I have the J type Zaku II(it's the ground type with the leg missile pods) and can vouch for its build quality and engineering. You can't really go wrong with any of the Zakus though, since they are just all retools with different backpacks and leg parts with a minor accessory swap in the form of different bazookas. Pick a color scheme that you like is all I can suggest.

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) But if you want a more space-type Zaku that better posed with a stand, you can pick Johnny Ridden Zaku, Shin Matsunaga Zaku, Black Tri-Star Zaku, Mine-Layer Zaku or any soldier Zaku (especially F-Type). Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) Pick your favorite version & colors first, then look into the armaments they come with before making final decision. Older Zaku kits like Zaku I or Zaku II F2 are obviously flawed, but other than lackluster articulation (and maybe proportion), they're pretty solid for their price. |

Didn't have time to go through all the thread but anyone going to give the Dijeh a go now that the 1/100 RE/100 Dijeh is up for pre-order for June?
I've already pre-ordered mine, awesome suit after all. :D |

I was also looking around on the net and two Zaku's in particular caught my eye. Unfortunately though they both happen to be limited exclusives. Namely the High Mobility Zaku's painted in standard green (one is like Shin Matsunaga's/Tri-Stars while the other is a Kawaguchi pro shop release Johnny Ridden style Zaku) Not sure where I can find these for under $80 as I'd pick up either in a hearbeat...... Otherwise Im leaning towards Chars, the F-type, and perhaps Shin Matsunaga's More in favor of the first atm, as its the in-between of sorts of the standard Zaku's and the space high mobility types. And its....you know....THAT Zaku. The price (same for F-type) is also low enough that one of the High mobility variants can just as easily net me a more standard 2.0 Zaku + a HG kit/accessories/supplies/a base/etc. Not sure whether to buy now or wait for a lucky break on those exclusive kits (assuming they can even be found nowadays) Quote:
Im somewhat off-put by the prototype proportions atm, so Im reserving judgement until I see the final pics Glad though the thing is finally getting a deserved modern kit. Thats why I love the RE:100 line so far despite not owning any. All look great, 1/100, nicely priced for what they are, and gives obscure stuff much needed attention I also found something interesting.......a Vigna Zirah model kit from the old F91/F90 line, and Im highly tempted to snag it for $20 considering what I have seen of the kit on Youtube (price seems reasonable to me, good design and a very old kit thats not in stock anywhere but the place I found it. Overall about twice the price of its old MSRP). Problem is I also want a Hardy Gun to go with it but that thing is either sold out everywhere or insanely overpriced.......... |
