Change Display Name
 

I did a search on "change display name" which resulted in countless threads of which had no relation or relevancy to my query :( So I'll apologize beforehand if the following question has already been answered:

How do I go about changing my display/screen/user name, or if it's impossible for me to do this myself can I simply ask an administrator to do this for me?

It is not allowed loki. Accounts are neither shared nor taken away. Your rename request fits into that category.

Hey, a long long time ago (c. 2001) I used the nickname "ashibaka". Various stuff has happened since then and I've been calling myself "Shii" since 2004 on most other websites as well as in the rare fansub credit. Could you change it to eliminate confusion?

I'm sorry, but that would make your name more annoying to our membership and myself. Have you ever thought of creating a name with only alphanumerics? Amazingly, nobody on our forum is named Thousand Master and I'd be overjoyed to change your name to that.

Just a question, but, do the admins delete accounts at all? Erm, like erm, 1) spambot accounts, 2) duplicate accounts/sock puppets 3) accidental registration 4) etc.

I dunno, but if someone would like to have their username changed to one already being used but also belonging to the above categories, would the admins do it? =o

We would consider renaming on a case by case account. As for the other questions, yes we do have our procedures which will remain Moderator procedures :)
