Welcome to the discussion thread for School Rumble Third Term OVA, Episode 26 (second of 2).

Please note that at this point in time, we do not consider the School Rumble Third Term OVA (School Rumble San Gakki) to be licensed, nor as far as we can tell is it an MFI production unlike the previous seasons or OVA.

I loved it. I'm sad that such a great ride has come to an end, though. I was really looking forward to hearing Harima sing, though. :(

The animation staff hasn't lost it at all. They had the sense to edit out Harima's lame "Tenma vision" in the end. Instead, he got pied instantly! :D

Shame KJ couldn't come up with anything better. Karasuma's vague illness is such a cop-out.

Also btw all the episodes of Sangakki was aired in the DVD, In summary that is...narrated by mostly Hanai and Akira with the rest of the SR cast. This is the ONLY thing that clears things up for non manga readers.

I just watched it.

Well its nice to see something new from School Rumble. Drawing style like the 25th episode, same voice actors. Kinda same school rumble, even thought its different.


To bad, the ending in general is like expected.

Well thats all.. :upset:

The ending song with the szenes on the left were nice. It made me cry to think:"Thats all from this season." :upset:

Unless you desire to read the entire manga(which can be advised) I recommend reading from 167 which is roughly where the second season of the Anime left off, to 281 which in my humble opinion is the most satisfying way to end the series. :)

So basically Kobayashi didn't have the balls to write an ending. Someone much wiser than myself predicted this would happen, but I was too optimistic to believe him.

Is it melodramatic to suggest that School Rumble is the biggest waste of potential in anime/manga this decade? I mean, Kobayashi writes these amazing characters, that are so sympathetic and multi-dimensional and complicated and, well, just brilliant. Yet he seemingly can't write a well-paced and well developed plotline to save his life. It's so disappointing because even in this episode you could see glimpses of the masterpiece it could have been shining through the occasional cracks of otherwise mediocrity. I can't help but just shake my head and utter "if only..."

I realy enjoyed the first 2 seasons and the mangas so for me, it would be never waste time. :cool:

What's the song that plays in the background during the scene where Harima and Tenma are sitting together at the airport waiting for Itoko? I know it's a variation of Kun he ~Kaze ni Nosete~ but what is it called? Does anyone have a youtube link possibly?

it is almost like they wrapped up the series from whatever is left from the second season all the way to the end with just 2 ova. :twitch:

Yeah, almost a kind of updated version of it. I dont think they will ever release a new OST for only 2 episodes with, i think only one new modification of a song. :heh:
