Sacred Gear which has beasts spirit resided in it has access to a mode called "Jaggonaut Drive". It's a berserk state of the Sacred Gear and gains even more destructable powers. Because of it's power, it drains the lifespan of the user. In volume 6 Isei enters this mode. Because of it he lost 99% of his lifespan. So from then on he proceed to make a new ability which would be strong as "Jaggonaut Drive" but won't take his lifespan and make him berserk. Volume 8 is mostly side story but one of the chapter has him meeting with Beelzebulb, one of the 4 demon lord. He is the one who created the "Evil Pieces" and he altered the pawn pices inside Isei's body so Isei can create a new ability. Is stated before "pawn" has ability to "promote" to any of the classes of Knight, Tank, Bishop, and Queen. They increase you certain aspects of stats. Knight increases speed, Bishop increases Magic Powers, Tank increase Power, and Queen increases all. But it dosent make the user look different.
In volume 9 Isei gains that "new ability" and he named at "Illegal-move Triana" which lets him change into Knight, Bishop, and Tank. The differences between the old promotion and "Illegal-move Triana" is that promotion increases the said stats, but the "IMT" changes the form of his "Balance-Breaker" and gains more destructible powers. His knight mode which looks more slimmer then the usual Balance-Breaker armour gains speed and can remove its armor to gain even more speed. Its based on Wildwurger from SRW and Kamen rider Kabuto. His Bishop mode gains a big canon on its shoulder and can wipe out everything on its way. Based on Gundam Double X. His tank mode gains more armor and his gigantic arms. It has high attack power and defence. Based in Big O.
He has access to the Queen Mode called "Cardinal Crimson Promtion" which is his ultimate form and has equal powers to "Jaggonaut Drive".
Also the novel shifts to Isei and co fightning other people.

From volume 4 Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels create a alliance because they don't want to have a war. But there a terrorist groups called "Chaos Brigade" which tries to stop that from happening. The "Chaos Brigade" is controlled by the Dragon called "Ouroboros Dragon Opheus" who is the strongest character in the whole novel. Opheus is the strongest Dragon is well, even superior than the Two Heavenly Dragon, one of the dragon inside Isei's sacred gear. Also the the posssor with the Sacred Gear "Divine Dividing", a sacred gear with the other Two Heavenly Dragon resided in it, was in the fallen angel faction first but deflects to "Chaos Brigade". So the story becomes more of a fight and action with lots of ecchi parts is well. And because of countless number of enemy Isei defeats, he got a promotion to become a "Top Level devil". Well volume 11 concentrates on Isei, Kiba, and Akeno becoming a "Top Level Devil" according to the author's comment on Volume 10.
@revenge: Will he does use transportation afterwards. He trains hard becomes incredibly strong so that makes up for it I guess. Isei easily became the strongest in his group, second by Kiba.
@Kleeyook: Yes Asia will appear in the second of Life 2. I only put 1/3 of Life 2 yesterday.

Nope, he's the Mr Pimp who the female devils surround in social events (to the chagrin of Issei) . He's also the guy that makes opposing female devils in battle think "I'm so lucky to be on the same battle field as Kiba." He's also the knight that claims he'll protect everyone. He'll even vows to protect Issei, which creeps the life out of Issei because he's afraid others will misunderstand their relationship (i.e. gay).

She appears a little later in vol 1. Have you seen the manga? She appears on the middle of vol 1(chapter 3).

To let you know Volume 3 concentrates on Kiba's story mainly. Ise helps him and Kiba becomes indebted to Ise. And Kiba always tells Ise that "I will protect you even with the cost of my life". Every time Ise rejects Kibas kindness he always get sad. Even the author said volume 3 had a gay atmosphere because of it ^-^.
Also because Kiba seems to get the most spotlight in volume 3 compared to Ise, it seems unlikely that the anime will cover volume 3. It seems like the ending of Volume 2 will be the best for the anime ending if its only 12 episodes. Also volume 8 has side stories which takes place in Volume 1 and 2 so they might use that is well.
