@firefox
I like what you did to Gale Strike's swords :). Did you use Gundam markers for that?

Yup, i can't really paint with pencils so i use markers.

The swords were really too blue so i added some color :).

You also might notice that i forgot to panelline his little square on the belt, i corrected that after the pictures were taken ;)

Well, if you have paints, you can use brush for some difficult corners :D.

Oh yeah, when will you build your Zeta Karaba & RX-78-3? I'd love to see that ;).

As soon as i have time, unfortunately my job is quite demanding timewise. Next will the 1/144 HG 0 Gundam (blue red white color version) and after that i promised i would finaly build one of my waiting PG's during my summer holidays. But after that the scedule is still open :D.

I am a MG or 1/100 NG only guy, but those 6 kits I think are important to the story and probably won't get an MG or 1/100 NG treatment...

Maybe the Exia R2 as I've been saying here a lot, but if it does come, I will get it then. =D

Besides, HG kits seem like they'd be fun. Like SD in terms of complexity with a few more parts and most of the colors in plastic and not that many stickers.

Do people actually use like a toothpick to paint parts?

Simplest fix wld be 0 gundam (both types) . Not much paint needed also.

Most number of parts wld be reborns and avalanche exia dash. Exia dash has a lot of foil stickers

I can see how Avalanche Dash Exia HG has a lot of stickers. I have the Avalanche Exia 1/100 NG and it has a lot of stickers. I haven't built that one yet as w/ my other kits.

Appel 2012-05-15 17:38

yes, it does. probably the most sticker heavy kit i have built so far :P but since i painted it i didnt use them^^
i used an airbrush by the way, toothpicks dont work in my opinion.

I guess I could get masking tape and use a paint brush. =)

suiton629 2012-05-15 17:53

Hey uh..

ScotchBlue Painter's Tape

Would that be a good alternative to use for masking paints...? The alternative being Tamiya masking tape...

i've no experience with tamiya's tape. been using some sort of paper-like tape all these while. it's not the best but it's the cheapest i find out there. :)

suiton629 2012-05-15 20:30

So like would painter's tape be good?

o_O
I was reading reviews and read that it peels off without leaving any residue and I mean it does say painter's tape and I am using paint..lol..

I only use Toothpicks for painting on small details like the pilot figures for example.

Appel 2012-05-16 06:43

im happy with tamiya tape. works like a charm!
as far toothpicks, it works but there are better options. like those ultra fine brushes that you can get at gamsworkshop stores.

suiton629 2012-05-16 09:40

Well I mean I just got some ScotchBlue Painter's Tape and I'm hoping I could use it for masking GunPla pieces.

>_>

The Tamiya seems a bit expensive for what you get, and I haven't had the best luck with them in the past.

A possible spoiler: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...06399842781514

PG Unicorn? I really doubt it, though it's popular, I think it'll cost more than PG Strike Freedom and Bandai is cost cutting. Of course, unless they're becoming generous again :)

Also, HGAC? WTF? It makes this spoiler less convincing.

MG Age-2 CONFIRMED!

suiton629 2012-05-16 22:57

As if you had to wonder if it wasn't?

Let's see if we also get:

MG Age-2 Normal (White)
MG Genoace Custom
MG G-Exes
MG G-Bouncer
MG G-EXES JackEdge
MG Dark Hound

I suspect that MG Double Bullet, MG Age-3 Normal, MG Fortress, and MG Orbital will come out soon.

Orbital's shoulder thingies looks like weapons in gunpla. I'm sure the build would be great, but the MG Age-2 details feels more of a NG 1/100.

This on the other hand, is a 1/144 MG.

That MG AGE-2 is probably going to be my only MG AGE model.
