haha, which is why I just bought one just now. I bought the Zaku II Char's version.
Watching the UC shows inspired me to get one as well.

LightningZERO 2008-02-25 01:36

Dalong is biased towards Zakus :D

Finished the Freedom a few days ago, couldn't decide on which decal scheme so left all of them out.

And started Exia, almost done and will most likely be done tomorrow.

I'll wait until spring break to start PG Strike.

Where Is My Flame Haze Gundam!?!?!?!

MakubeX2 2008-02-25 18:03

Where is my proportionally correct HGUC Hi-Nu ?

Astrana 2008-02-25 18:53

MMM Zwei looks sweet, Eins still sitting on the floor waiting to be made hahaha

LightningZERO 2008-02-25 21:51

Huh? No HGUC Nu Gundam?

dodgethis_sg 2008-02-25 22:36

He said Hi-Nu, not Nu.

And yes, where is the original line art Hi-Nu kit from Bandai in styrene (not that I mind resin kits). I don't want no anorexic wannabe.

What is another name for a "Gundam Marker"? I was at my local hobby store and was looking for something for panel lining, but I wasn't sure what to get. Is it just a fine point marker?

dodgethis_sg 2008-02-26 09:04

Yes, that's all a Gundam Marker is, an over-priced fine-tip marker.

Rey Za Burrel 2008-02-26 09:25

panel lining ? Did you mean the one we use to draw the black line on the kit ?
It's the one that has blue body and black lid , with the phrase "スミれいよう (ブラック)" right below the phrase "GUNDAM MARKER" on it body ( actually , the word "よう" was written in Kanji but my PC isnt capable of typing Kanji at this time :( )

EXEs 2008-02-26 09:51

I FOUND THE ANSWER TO PAINT PROTECTION: Tamiya Top Coat.

Except that Gundam Markers use acrylic-based ink that will actually stick to plastic, instead of oil or water that wipes right off.

dodgethis_sg 2008-02-26 11:10

Technical pens can do the same thing as a Gundam marker, for cheaper and in different colours and diameters. All you have to do is let the ink dry for a proper amount of time and seal it in a clear coat of your choosing. Not to mention technical pens take floor drops better than a Gundam marker and last longer as well.

Not that I believe in markers anyway. I switched over the paint washes long time ago.

Where I am Gundam Marker cost 5 dollar each, and the thinnest black pen I can get is about 12-14 for set of 2. I tried both, but the gundam marker works better since I don't do any coating

MeesesGlokmah 2008-02-26 20:58

Thanks for the replies guys. So basically I need an acrylic-based ink marker, Gundam Marker, or a technical pen with some seal.

sword.impulse 2008-02-26 21:16

And to not make it look so fat, use the erase method and erase extra off the top after using it.
