Anime about archery
 

Are there any good sport related anime that emphasizes archery as it's main theme? Or one that has a lot of it in it.

I don't think so. All I can think of is that crappy Kaichu! anime which was a couple episodes long, lol...

There's anime where one of the main characters uses a bow to fight... but not one about the sport as far as I know.

Inu Yasha has two principle characters that use a bow as a primary weapon. It's not a sport anime so bear that in mind.

Otogizoushi but not sports anime.
Maybe Arjuna too, but not sports either, and I don't really remember it.

All I can remember is Chikane from Kannazuki no Miko .

Shoukichi and Miko from Kamichu are in the archery club and it does pop up in a couple of eps, though it's not a major theme.

Purikyu by Motomi Koyusuke (imo one of the best recent shojo authors, all of his mangas 100% recommended)
It's not an anime but a 5-chapter manga about a girl who was a Prima Ballerina and joins the archery club wanting to succeed in it.

It's the only one I can think right now that has archery as its main theme.

Well there's always Melody of Oblivion. The weapons of the main characters are all bows (not a sports anime). Then again, the anime itself wasn't that great...

Archer from Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero is about archery with swords.
