At anime expo ACE 2013, there is display information which announces the animation of the 4-koma manga "Servant x Service" by Takatsu Karino, author of "Working!!". It will start TV broadcast from July and A-1 Pictures will be the anime studio. Main cast include Kayano Ai, Suzuki Tatsuhisa, Nakahara Mai, and Toyosaki Aki.
Synopsis:

By the author of "Working!!," this 4-koma features the staff of the health and welfare section of the ward office of a certain city. Newcomers Hasebe Yutaka, Yamagami, Miyoshi Saya, and their supervisor Ichimiya Taishi go through the everyday quirks of working at their office.

"From the author of Working" is enough to get me watching by itself, but having a setting you never see in anime makes it even better.

Looks great. I think having this kind of setting with more mature characters make it so refreshing to the point I'll try this one myself.

Pretty much this.

Working!! was a great show, so I can only hope for good things to come from this as well.

I'll be following this.

NoemiChan 2013-03-29 17:01

I second.... It's probably good...

Cloudenvy 2013-03-29 17:19

This just reminds me that I should probably watch Working! and its sequel one of these days. Being reminded of ones giant backlog always sucks. :(

Regardless of that, the setting sounds really interesting so I'll be following this as well!

This has caught my interest, I definitely need to check this one out.

Looks like we're all anticipating this after the success of Working!. :D

Yeah, "author of Working!!" is all I need to know.

Rosalena 2013-03-30 18:00

For some reason I wasn't able to get into Working!! so the "by the author of" tag doesn't do much for me. I'm much more interested in the fact that this series will be about adults who have real jobs. That's refreshing and interesting enough to push this near the top of my "to watch" list.

Premieres on ABC(Asahi Broadcasting) on "7/04 27:08"

I hope CR streams it. Sounds like an interesting series.

I'm here almost entirely for the Heartcatch-esque show within a show. I'm sure the stuff around it will be interesting too (especially if it has a similar sense of humor as WORKING!!), but Magical Flowers is my primary reason.

Being the spiritual successor to Working!! is enough for me to register interest in at least the first episode. Even better if it surpasses what I expect of it.

Agreed. Can't wait to see the characters in action. I'm stil hoping for a season 3 in the future though.

Couldn't agree more! As much as I hate having huge expectations from an anime before it even airs, anything coming from the author of Working (which I absolutely loved) has me pretty excited.

Official website now has a PV streaming.

It appears this show is the successor to WORKING!! in more than just the author (and sense of humor?), but also in having incredibly earwormy theme songs.

Excellent!

OkamiNoKaze 2013-06-07 07:18

The Office: The Anime, :heh: Will there be a "Dwight"?

Utsuro no Hako 2013-06-07 08:46

I'm thinking more Parks and Recreation. WataMote is going to be much closer to The Office, in tone if not setting.
