Cannot view kamen no Maid Guy ep 9 (xvid) properly
 

I recently downloaded the 12-ep batch of the series. However, episode 9 is not showing properly.

When viewed in VLC player, the audio functions properly, but the video is crammed together horizontally - it is the proper height, but only an inch or so wide, making it impossible to view.

None of the previous episodes acted like this. (Uncertain about the later ones, as I don't want to view them before I've seen #9.)

Has anyone else experienced this? How can I correct it? I'd very much like to see the conclusion of this great series.

If you downloaded via torrent, check the integrity of the file by getting the torrent again and pointing your BT client to the dir the ep is in. It will then check if the file is ok and download any missing pieces.

If it wasn't off a torrent, grab CCCP Insurgent, do a tools -> CRC check on the file and compare it to the one the group hopefully provided. They should match exactly. If not, re-download.

How about trying to re-encode it? That's the fastest solution!

If you're encoding to MPEG1.

I'm fairly sure the ep9 avi was screwed up. Get the h264 or don't watch.
