You can try:

Chrono Crusade's ending SUCKS.

The suckiest thing I ever did see...that ending there.

There's always Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, but

Berserk-A horrible ending that makes you think about the ending, it made me think about if for the night. Also you can see after that with the Manga.

Gilgamesh-Another horrible ending, very baaaaaaaaaad.

Trinity blood-A pretty good show, with a so-so ending, but it does have the bad guy yet to die.

Well Berserk definately has a horrible ending but it also gets you hooked on the manga.
But the worst ending ever has to be Inuyasha terrible anime with a just as terrible ending after slugging through 167 episodes the fuck you up alot........

I on the other hand consider one of the best endings out there, since it shows how no matter how hard humans struggles, natural order prevails. The strong remains, the weak dies :D

Then again this is a highly subjective topic so you might want to give some examples as to what do you refer with...

But-but the characters were so likable and they give you false hope! And the manga doesn't end like that! The directors (f**k YOU director-san) made up their own sh**y ending! It was the worst.

Hence why I said it was subjective (personally I like directors that play with the mind on their viewers making them believe everything is naturally flowing when in fact they are just preparing to smack the viewers' face with something else... as long as it isn't Excel Saga esque ... *shivers*)

P.D. This is not to say that I liked the main characters, but I found Aion's ideal to be much more significant.

I actually liked the ending of Chrno Crusade too.
So many anime I have seen that rushes an ending with a final episode last 10 minutes thing (like trigun).

But for Dragnar wants, that was a pretty good suggestion.

Can't believe you hated it though, I thought it was one of the best endings I've ever seen in an anime (though i might not necessarily have been joyful after watching it). I still thought it was good though.

I did not mind the ending of chrono crusade, I still can't believe people can say that "the ending was so depressing that the I did not watch an anime for a whole week, or a month for some." The ending could have been better,

Anyways anot show with a bad ending in my opinion was FLCL, Again this is only my opinion.

I preferred the anime ending of Chrno Crusade.

I know many don't agree with me but... I didn't like Mai-HiME's ending.
The second story arc was godly...

So many animes seem to either have no ending (e.g. Kare Kano), a super rushed wrap everything up the whole series in 10 minutes kinda ending (too many to list), or an ending that makes no sense (NGE)

You know, it seems to me anime producers could learn something from watching "24". IMHO each season of 24 has good pacing from beginning to end in that it builds up and winds down with a natural pace, rather than just resorting to some deus ex machina type ending.

I also suggest Chrno Crusade as well. :D

Grave of firefly ( anime version) - main character dead, unable to solve the conflict or find a solution for the problem due to harsh environment.
Kenshin OAV 2 - its dark and its ending annoyed me.

I just want to say, if you KNOW the bad guys are going to win, then what in the world is the point of sitting through 24 episodes of it? I never understand these "OMG! TELL ME ANIMES WITH AN ENDING LIKE THIS! YES, THAT'S RIGHT! TELL ME THE ENDING, THEN RECCOMEND IT TO ME SO I CAN WATCH THE ANIME CLIMAX TO THAT SAME ENDING I NOW KNOW AHEAD OF TIME! Also, in the meantime, SPOIL some MORE anime for me!"

I think everytime someone makes an "anime with bad/happy/warm and fuzzy (lol)/ whatever ending" thread, the OP and someone close to them should be slapped. My, I'd even offer my hand being the community service kind of guy I am.
