I don't think I see a thread for this yet. Anyways, just started this reading this today and there are 20 or so chapters out. So far, this is surprisingly interesting with the war politics and some character building. I'm not very familiar with the author though but I think it's on the right path so far. There's also some inklings of comedy especially in regards with the main character and the people he encounters.

It was a good read but I have to say that I hated the narration style. Parts of it narrates as though the story is a history book and basically tells you what happened in the future.

does the protagonist have any power or skill ? I just read the first few chapters and he seems to be doing nothing. I don't even get how he suddenly woken up in a different body and already inside of a house.

he will claim the sword which is like....EXCALIBURRRR. But he by himself is pretty cunning, he can think, and understand the situation fairly well. A little dense when it come to women of course :heh:

This seems pretty good. Only complaint is that the beginning moved way too fast.

I'm liking this one. It feels like its moving a little fast but it's good so far. That imperial princess is hawt I'm hoping she doesn't end up dead.

I've been reading the Chinese translation for this series...

Pity that only the first 5 are translated... I think, from a brief look at its Japanese wiki article, there's 12 total (maybe 13+ for the web version), so...

So far, V1 was basically the manga up until the main character took the sword. V2 was him retaking the capital. V3-4 covers this current conflict with the empire in the North. V5 was mostly transitional, mostly slice of life stuff (staying at a hot springs with his party) and a bit of background, I think, as well as introducing the twin daughters of the Red Dragon Duke (who we've already met, actually)...

The Red Dragon Duke's daughters? Yes.

Politically speaking, the king's supposed to take a daughter from each of the 4 Dragon Dukes as a wife/concubine, I think. White's we already know. Red's, the elder is accepting of the political realities while the younger is against it (we actually saw a panel earlier with a snapshot of them arguing about it), but they're warming up to him as V5 went. Black's and Blue's haven't shown up yet in the LN, although they've been mentioned...

Nope, mysterious enemy is still as mysterious as ever...

Also, on the Empire. They weren't completely defeated in V3-4. That particular campaign is completely defeated, but the Empire is still trucking on like always, minus the political instabilities that are likely to occur due to such a complete failure of a campaign anyways... Likely as not, they'll make try at it in a few years... Maybe... We'll have to wait for spoilers or the Chinese translations to pick up...

I think that was what Moe Connection was referring to... Unless there were further developments later on in V6+ anyways...
