in short : if you like to increase post count, post somthing that out of special for the news (e.g boxart, dates release, any special info on kits not reveal, etc etc)

I could care less how many posts I made to this forum. I only do this because I want to, not because I'm paid, forced, or feel like I accomplish anything by posting a lot on an online forum.

the problem is an online forum isnt really supposed to be used for posts like this. a forum is supposed to be used for discussions about a subject.
also, everyone here already visists gundamguys blog regularly. its the best english source for gunpla out there afterall!
you are also constantly double and tripple posting which is really annoying.

if there is something you find interesting on the blog you are free to post a link to it here but you should say something meaningful about it. and posting the links to the images here is kinda redundant as well since we will see the images when we click the link to the blog, anyway^^

that bites... im a little bit short on money this month as well (had to pay the fee for the university XP ) but at least i still have my HG avalanche exia dash and an armored core kit to work on :P

i also just finished the revell F-14B tomvat. although i do use the word "finished" lightly, some things arent perfect. many seam lines and i had to redo the paint at some places so that isnt perfect, too. but when you look at it from further away it looks pretty good! XD

http://www.abload.de/thumb/foto0989zk6v.jpg

this is definitely my last revell kit though. the quality is just bad and some things just didnt work at all. like the landing gear, that was just one huge catastrophe...

but what i was really impressed about was how awesome airbrushing is. all the grey? thats a total of about 10ml of paint. there is still some left in the small paint pot. and this isnt a small model! its almost half a meter long! this is a great example how much paint you save when airbrushing instead of using spray cans!^^

Nice Job Appel, considering what you had to do to it.. Yeah Revell models aren't the best molds, but i've seen some nice work when finished, (Rare to see). lol
Are you going to topcoat it? just to seal in the decals? it would give it that military look.

Airbrushing opens a whole new world to do anything you want with a small cost. it pays for it in the long run. Unlike certain someone that got a steal. lol

Cheers. :)

PS. Still no December release for the MG?

Sucks. I have like 4 or 5 promotion numbers. =P If I win the MG or PG set, I might give away the kits or just sell them on Amazon.

=P

thanks :P i dont know if im going to top coat it. i used emaile paint so its not really necessary... maybe later, i guess the decals do need to be sealed. because they sucked, too! XP

and no, as it seems there is no word on the december MG release yet. when did bandai announce the OOQ last year?

I believe it was a November release.

oh you are right^^ i just got it in december, maybe they why i got confused :P

according to the release list on HLJ there wasnt a december MG last year (or am i mistaken here)... we had the OOQ in november and the ReZEL commander in january. but thats probably because of the PG strike freedom which was released in december.
but it would be stupid of bandai not to have a big release in december... i really wonder how they will handle this and whether the MG FA unicorn will really be the december MG like many people are speculating.

suiton629 2011-09-11 08:46

I'm waiting for them to do a MG Exia Repair 2 and MG O Gundam at least. Maybe we're gonna get those in Oct ~ Dec 2011. =D

Nice Collection Appel, Thanks for posting, cause i can now see how tall some of those kits get, specially when you have the Freedom on the stand and wings up, that will take a lot of room on my behalf cause i'm using a cabinet. I'd show mine off but don't have to many to show off.. i have 2 NG, 2 MG, 1Rg, 1HG so far, takes me awhile to build them. :( And i have at least 16 more to build.

thats why i believe that uploading collections is very useful^^ you see how big a model actually is compared to the other kits next to it. and you see how good the kit looks in a neutral environment. promo pictures always make the kit look as good as possible but you just dont know what the kit would look like on your own shelf.

and yes, the freedom, strike freedom and destiny really are rather huge when you have the wings fully extended... but you can also pull off some really cool poses without the wings expendad so it is possible to display them in a smaller space. in my opinion they all do need an action base though because they are simply way too backheavy. one tiny bump against your cabinet and they would fall over.

having a smaller collection in a nice cabinet looks just as good though in my opinion. in your collection the attention is drawn to the individual models whereas my collection just looks rather impressive because i have quite a lot of kits on display.

I just look for space and try to keep 3 1/100 scale models to one shelf. That is cluttered enough you can't really pose them. but i do have 6 shelfs to work with.

It just hit me that Bandai never milked the 1/144 00 movie kits completely with Trans-Am versions.
