Well, there was no doubt that the Rapahel had GN Bazooka on its back, but good to see we finally know for sure.

Now...where do they do when the backpack transforms...

velocity7 2010-09-17 18:49

According to that manual, it looks like Raphael might have one true GN drive and one fake in the backpack, aside from the main unit, but I need a clearer picture to be sure.

Also confirms my suspicion much earlier that GN drives were in the claws.

Finally:

EDIT: Site also mentions it looks quite a bit like Seravee in the pictures of the model kit thus far. Wouldn't be surprised if Seravee's frame was re-used to save up on costs.

That image was confirmed to be a fake, actually.

When the model imagery showed that the backpack head was radically different. If you examine it, the fake shows very little in the way of design to the original backpack.

Just look at the above image. It looks nothing like the 1/144 scales head.

I don't really know how to help you there. :heh: I guess if you have anything specific you would like to ask, then maybe I or another member could tell you.

Well anyway, thanks for the help. I'll start my modding project on October(stupid final exams!).

The initial investment for an airbrush may be expensive, but you can get a fairly nice beginner airbrush, Iwata Revolution CR for about US $70. then your air source is is dependant on how much you want to spend, 30-200 depending on what you want and what fits your needs.

This initial investment is a one time investment (unless you later upgrade to more refined airbrushes but it'll only be as much as twice the cost of the Revolution). In the long run, spray cans will cost more if you keep having to buy different colors, multiple spray cans, etc.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with spray cans, I started out with spray cans and hand brushing. There are quite a few tricks that you can do with spray cans as well. The only issue is that custom mixed colors are very limited, and a spray can cannot get as fine a spray pattern as an airbrush.

Do they sell an air brush set with a compressor? I'll try and find a way for me to buy one.

Wow, to think that the fakers can replicate Yanase's style of designing. It's really damn impressive.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-09-17 22:26

Yeah I see the difference now. The HG head has a Virtue type design, with face guards on the cheeks.

Seravee. The cheeks look freaking like Seravee's. The torso has some resemblence as well. (The circle on the chest)

It's design is more like the Seravee actually, with almost the same cheeks. It's basically the Seravee head without the white "horns" and with a flat top.

The chest is quite different from the Seravee though (no protruding center chest piece for one), but still way too different from the "backpack art" being parroted around.
