The big difference is that Mea is not an official expy. She just happens to look like Suou. It's highly doubtful they'll get Kana to voice her.

Personally, I'd be very happy with Mai Nakahara (<- pretty much always my first choice for yandere characters).

Or better yet, Aya Hirano. :heh: *cough* Katja *cough*

I just hope Xebec puts more effort and budget into this if possible. The first season didn't look very good, while the second did probably because it was half as long. OVA series may be beneficial.

I'm really happy with the direction this franchise is taken though. What started as a fairly mediocre series contrived to get females (and sometimes males turned into females naked) is still that but it survived some of the most brutal of personal problems that killed the first series. But in the face of that and encroaching censorship laws and that, Darkness arose from its ashes bigger, better, and sexier with a somewhat workable plot to boot. It seemed to be giving off the middle finger to all the adversity it faced and came off stronger. Now that's as about as inspiring as you can get from an ecchi series. :heh:

With excellent character designs and actually some interesting backstories, while putting what is probably the most alluring character at the front this can easily be a top tier ecchi series. Well, the manga is, just straddling that line between ecchi and hentai. ;)

Probably the reason why it's an ova and not a TV series. It's ecchi level is higher than ever.

Ecchi level higher?!

Diveman 2012-04-03 10:53

TLR Darkness is the prob one of the closest things to "legal" hentai.

Ekureiru 2012-04-03 11:06

It is indeed a good thing we're not getting it as a full series, lest we'd only get to watch half of it. :heh:

Don't know if anyone has read this article but this magazine scan seems to confirm to be a TV anime.

WTF? First they said TV, then OVA, then TV again? I feel double trolled.

I see a lot of carefully placed mist and beams of light in the future...

Archon_Wing 2012-04-03 20:13

Just wait for the blurays. ;)

CrowKenobi 2012-04-03 20:44

Unless AT-X is part of the broadcasting lineup (Looks at High School DxD)... ;)

Hmm... now when the magazine in which the manga itself runs confirms that it will be a TV anime, that should be pretty reliable, I'd say.

You'll just have to wait for the At-x airing. Motto Tlr also aired uncensored on At-x :D

HasuMasu 2012-04-05 01:34

Will the character designs be S1 or Motto style?

The character design will be used in a Motto style.

HasuMasu 2012-04-05 02:45

Oh my, that's fabulous.

Though I guess I'm fine with it either way. :eyespin::heh:

Fabrice 2012-04-05 07:17

It would be fine to have near-H animations for me as long as boobs don't start to bounce each time Lala makes a step. That was the one of the few, but major problem I had with DxD for Rias.

kenjiharima 2012-04-08 04:41

Censoring kills the ecchi mood.
Most especially season2's light censors.
Waited for the Bluray before watching them.
What I really want to see is not still images of Momo's and the other's imagination on the ecchi panels on the TLRD manga.
