GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-08-09 22:21

If the GN Sword IV is gonna appear anywhere, it'll be that 00V.

rocawarde 2010-08-09 22:25

Aww nuts velocity7, that's what i wanted to say myself:heh:

Yeah LoweGear, I wasn't expecting the same thing but more like the concept of having GN bits that you could grip. I hope they all are condenser blades tho.

Yeah all the way xmas :(

Rising Dragon 2010-08-09 22:26

Gotta go with Nosferatu on that...

00 Raiser Capacitor Type? The extend of the reuse and remold of the 00 mold is really ridiculous...

Chiu_fan 2010-08-10 07:31

Here's a really nice 00 Qan[T] mod I found.

From the pics, it's actually quite simple:

- Get two HG 00 Qan[T]'s and an HG 00 Gundam (if you don't have one already)
- Attach 00 Gundam's backpack + GN Drive Arms to the 00 Qan[T]. Should require a little bit of glue.
- Attach 00 Qan[T] shields to the drive arms and presto, 00 Qan[T] Twin Shield Edition :D:eyespin:

Chiu_fan 2010-08-10 08:48

^
Don't forget to drill a hole in the back to attach the 0 Raiser.

You're using the 00 Gundam's backpack for the mod, so no need to drill a hole.

The mod will remove the ability for the shield to be linked with the backpack though... until someone manages to create a mod that maintains the 00 Qan[T]'s drive arms and backpack while doubling the shields :heh:

Oh I knew it won't be hard.
And I think modding 00Q's backpack for 2 mounts wont be too hard if you have decent glue; according to the manuals they are almost the same anyway.

Agreed, though I'm waiting to see if they've improved the Raiser binder mechanism with the new Drives at least but this one feels like a total waste of money ATM.

What requires glueing then, the backpack. Some trouble fitting? And how reversible is this, incase I may want to turn it into 00Q basic again, if its possible that is.

While we're on the subject of 00Q, I also have to ask. Are the Sword Bits wieldable? Are any of them at all wieldable by the hands?

According to gundam.tk's review, they are wieldable.

I think we established that a long time ago...

Yes they are. Just not sure if all of them can be hand held.

I'm really hoping for trans clear coloured parts for Harute: Specifically his green GN blade and purple visor. It would really suck if those were just trans clear...

Kitaeryu 2010-08-11 02:52

I'm REALLy hoping that the 00Q variant is released in 1/100 scale and is not limited, and not like the awesome XN raiser which was only released as a limited 1/144.

I think its a pity that Bandai doesn't make more models of the 00 side stories, I find their designs to be particularly awesome, even as good as the main series designs.

Only two of the Sword Bits can be properly wielded by hand. However it seems to be more of an accident in design, since the "handles" on the Sword Bits used to hold them on the HG 00 Qan[T] are also the primary connection points for the larger Bits in Buster Sword and Buster Rifle form. And of course, said connectors are conspiciously absent from the actual drawing of the Bits themselves, leading me to believe they're a model-kit only concession. :heh:

Left is 00Raiser's manual, Right 00Q:

So with cutting off some pegs you can glue them, if you are a good modeler I would rather mod 00Q's backpack to have the mounts but still, It should be pretty easy.

1/72 Kshatriya By G-system. You can clearly see how huge it is with the 1/144 at it's feet literally.

Winchester 2010-08-11 09:01

I think I'd rather wait and see what the 00V version looks like before trying to permanently mod a 00Q - I hate ruining kits, I've spent way too much on regular plastic models that turned out crappy.

Right now I'm building a HGUC Hi-Nu, a complete break from my current collection which is all 00 so far. I've also got a HG Gundam X for my next build, and I'm expecting a couple of long term projects to show up any day now (an MG Unicorn and an MG Ex-S, gifts from a friend...)

I think I'll need to up my pace from two HG kits per month...
