Dude, the series was released in Newtype about a decade back when Gundam was still very much unknown thing outside of Japan and Asia. Couple with it's unpopularity and you get the idea.

Based on the pictures I thought that it was not so old.

So it's quite unpopular. Well, that sucks.

Thanks again for the information, mate.

What does A Baoa Qu and Solomon look like from Earth in the UC timeline?

Well, Solomon is located at L5. I'm sure there's a possibility of it being visible, though given it's size compared to the moon it would probably be really difficult to see without a telescope.
A Baoa Qu would be impossible to see from Earth, being in the L2 point. L2 is located directly behind the moon, completely out of sight from Earth.

So if anything, I'd imagine all you could see would be Solomon as a small speck in the night sky. Unless you saw it being hit with the Solar Ray, then I'm sure you couldn't miss it. :D

im planning to get a 3rd gundam model. i have 144 blitz, and a 100 lunamaria zaku. im looking at getting some 1/100 scale model. im looking at some CE or 00 era models. atm ive cut the list down to 5 models i do have 2 others im thinking of geeting but i dont think they are made or produced: the p204QX lightning strike and anew retuner's garazzo. has the lithning strike ever been released and is anew returner's garrazo out yet?

kakakka 2009-08-17 21:26

Anew's Garrazzo? I think it's Gaddess. The HG 1/144 Gaddess should be out already this August, or sometime along this month.

thank you, kakakka youre right. i forgot they got that new model when she went back to the innovators. was she the only one to get that model? i dont really like the other innovades colour schemes at all so id rather not get the others MS. is it a limited quantity run? apparently it comes out in november so i still have 2 months to preoreder if needed. why is it some pics of the model show it in a bland grey plastic figure while it ways the peices are already colour moulded o.O?

kakakka 2009-08-17 22:05

She's the only one to use that MS. Also I don't think the model is limited (quantity) edition.

ty, so i guess they will mention thats is a limited quantity run rather early for any such model? now it seems i just need some patience and wait for it to be released.

i have a question about which models are better. im looking at the folowing: strike noir, kyrios/arios, savior, lagowe (if ever made) or archer. basically id like to get one that has a MA mode but one transformation sequence that isnt too much of a hassle to go thru ie loose parts or obstructing peices. atm kyrios/arios, savior and maybe gaia are ath the top of the list.

Can anyone tell me where you all go to translate Japanese writing in pictures? Like the info in magazines or on Gunpla models? I could really use one right now.

Seems that the most common method around here is a bilingual person manually getting down to it.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2009-08-20 06:07

Is there anyone around here that can do it?

For 00 anyway,we go to livejornal or 19.04 seconds. For me,I just go to alot of boards [for me,MechaTalk and Bazookafied's Invisonfree and here] and see what comes up,sometimes a person from one of the boards may have come up with one and this get spreads around.

Good luck trying to find some old translations though,I wasnt active until recently so I missed alot of translation of earliar models.

If someone finds a place that compiles manual translations of the kits.........please inform me.I am desperately looking for one as well.

Hmmm........still no info one the Gadess and Arios GNHW manuals yet strangely and they've been out for awhile.

X207 2009-08-21 20:24

one place that sells MS models has the gadess on order but i haven't got any more info than that so far. though i'll reserve one when it becomes available. im just waiting on the 1/144 00 gundam and the gadess to join my small collection. atm im working on 144 throne drei then its onto a 144 andy gaia/0 riser

How is a new Gundam series approached to being made? Does Sunrise contact an acclaimed director and pitch an idea to them?

Or is it the other way around?

From what both Mizushima and Furuhashi said in interviews, its the former, though this really only started with 00, it seems. Fukuda, Nishizawa (Stargazer), Imanishi (MS Igloo), etc, are all Sunrise employees AFAIK, so I suspect they get called to an office and get told what they would do next.

Outside of some special, smaller projects (like Ring of Gundam), I'd imagine that it'd be impossible to even conceive a Gundam work without Bandai's approval. Given that, it'd almost certainly be Bandai calling the shots about what project to take on and when to do so. They'd have to take into account things like potential Gunpla production lines, games, subsidiary merchandising, marketing, and the potential disruption of their other ongoing/planned projects and marketing initiatives. With the kind of financial outcomes at stake, I really don't think that it'd be possible for an independent creator to successfully pitch a Gundam project to Bandai.

I'd love to see Kamiyama Kenji direct a Gundam show. That'd be interesting to see. :P
