Welcome to the weekly manga chapter discussion thread. This thread is created early to discuss spoilers and speculation about the upcoming chapter as well as discussion of said chapter once it has been released.

As per the forums rules, please don't ask for or mention about where to download the (licensed) manga. Also remember not to post or link to any translations of the manga, since this is illegal as well. Posting a synopses or summary is fine (and welcome) but please do not discuss scans, raws, translation groups, etc. Additionally, if you are posting another's synopsis (or their translation of a synopsis), then please provide credit were credit is due.

Remember that the manga is licensed, do not post significant parts of the chapter. This stands for pictures and direct translations. Summaries are OK, crops of pictures are OK as well if you want to illustrate your point but this is it.

Why do I expect to see a Giant Slug, a Giant Toad, and a Giant Snake all summoned at once?

Wasn't the giant snake killed a long time ago?

I'm not sure summoned creatures can actually die where they are summoned to. I think they're like D&D summoned monsters, who get sent back where they came from when they "die" rather than actually dying.

it looks like a new generation of summoned animals actually... although I thought sasuke was supposed to be hawkboy now

I really like the power ups for the other rookies though... about damn time

Amazing chapter. I especially liked how inoshikachou showed true synergy

i think that's true, but in manda's case he seemed to actually die. not really certain though. either way, manda wasn't the only huge and top tier snake. kabuto met some when he became a sage.

these summonings were pretty obvious. what would be interesting/asspullish is if they're all sages

Interesting chapter. I love that it was focused on all of the characters instead of just Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. But team 10 takes the cake :D

Hinata is really a satellite character. :(

Anyway, it seems that Kishi doesn’t forget about Sai:

Sai: “Hey! I’m from Team 7 too! Don’t forget me”

*Juubi Jr. shoots* *bullseye*

Sai: “Aahhh” *while falling after got shot before doing anything*

I will just ignore the elephant(or elephants) in the room and say that this chapter was decent.

I wanted this generation to deal with their shit and after the Hokages revival I though i won't be getting that. But, Kishi at least this right. This should have been shown earlier when there were no elephants.

Did Kishimoto remember now that he had other characters besides Naruto and Sasuke?

I couldn't care less about the fodder characters, they have no depth to them and I don't read fan made manga to get that...

Well Naruto is like wine that got little vinegary but you still kinda wanna drink whole bottle once you started it. It's gone bad, but it's still one of the kind.

I don't like that everyone has got power up when originally this was about how would screw up Naruto outstand everyone else.

I thought Sasuke got rid of the snake stuff.

Are the other teams going to do something more than just slam juubi fodder?

It's the first page and Sasuke is already measuring up Naruto's Kyuubi chakra. Naruto is measuring Sasuke up as well. The betrayal is around the corner. This is just an intel gathering mission for Sasuke.

Best case scenario: He's teaming up with the good guys because he has to stop Madara before he takes revenge on everyone. Madara's plan isn't good for him either you know. Once its over....

-Not sure about Sakura or Sasuke's but Naruto's is definitely a very grown up Gamakichi (boy's got himself a giant growth spurt especially since he was only human sized back when Naruto was learning Sage Mode).

-Well this chapter was damn good. It seems like Kishimoto finally remembered that for all that talk about the "new generation" of ninja, only Naruto and Sasuke ever got any real showcase. So now it is everyone else's turn. Also poor Sai, he was so gung-ho about being part of Team 7 but nothing came of it this chapter. Come on fella, just make some giant-ass spiders or something...

narutos got the popped collar but no cape....interesting.

i assumed minato had the kyuubi cape but the tomoes are on the inside so thats just his hokage cape. his transformation is akin to narutos first one. that makes sense. kyuubi cooperation is needed for that advanced look i suppose...
plus his design is inverted. i hope thats meaningful

go team 10 yo-yo!

kishi better be planning something for lee and tenten..

i guess its not really written you can have only one summon contract...(or maybe it is)
he can probably summon ninja cats as well :D

(nice little scribble design so i cant tell which sharingan sasuke is using)

well, Sasuke didn't summon Manda... it's just another snake... not the one which Orochimaru had

Team 10's teamwork is better than others (well, team 7 is still the best though)
that human Yoyo is frightening

for Sai... too bad you just failed to steal some spotlight...

well, since Sasuke came back, this manga suddenly give me same excitement like what I had when I first read Naruto several years ago
