Stuck in childhood/peterpan syndrome/"bubble" anime

Does anyone know a anime and/or manga where there is someone stuck in it's childhood?
Like for example Michael Jackson(->Neverland), never growing up, and always staying a child from the inside?

Edit:
-Isolated main person(Doesn't have to be social awkward like Sato Tatsuhiro(Welcome to the NHK) per se, could also be a "borderline"-like personality(Is very socially skilled and has a lot of friends, but deep inside he doesn't feel connected to them and/or actually hates them or just feels plain empty for not actually being able to connect). Like having lots of money but no friends, or only fake friends.
So could also be isolated from the inside, not a hikikomori

Well the currently airing Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! is pretty much about that.

Can you give me some details? Reasons?

Maybe some more suggestions?

Chuunibyo demo Koi ga shitai! revolves around an adolescent male who greatly suffers a form of impossible delusion syndrome known as "chuunibyo" since his middle school days. But for some reasons, he prefers to stay away from it and focusing on something else. One day, he encounters a young girl who shares the same problem as him as well three other females. You should better check the first episode for yourself to learn a little more about it.

I watched the first and second episode of Chuunibyou.
I don't dislike it but it isn't what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a more seinen and/or darker/serious series/work.
I like comedy from time to time, but I'm not looking for that now(As a "main" thing).
(Yeah.. maybe Chuunibyou will get more serious later(Don't spoil please) I don't know, but I'm looking for more, there can't be just 1 anime/manga out there that fits my description on the first post, right?)

Do you guys have more suggestions?
Just throw it at me! :)

Why don't you give Legend of the Legendary Heroes a shot if you're interested. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for with that one.

Just before I make suggestions,I just want to be sure what you're looking for,at first you mentioned the peter pan syndrome but in fact you're just looking for isolated MCs , is that right?

So among titles you've watched/are watching would perfect blue and neon genesis evangelion have fit?

Just wondering so I know what suggestions to make!

I'm not "just" looking for isolated MC's.(Can be a antagonist as well)
I doesn't necessarily have to include both. But they have a lot in common.
Do you understand?

I've seen Perfect Blue, loved the twist!
I'm somewhere around ep.6 with Neon Genesis.

But I guess something like Perfect Blue would be good.

Of course it's always hard to describe what "hooks" you. It's a lot of trial and error.
And even then, you can't judge a show by it's first ep.

What about Washu from the various versions of "Tenchi Muyo"?

Come to think of it, many of the Juraians from that series act much younger than their
true ages (which can be measured in thousands of years for some of them).
