Of which the first chapter or so is already animated. I think the beach chapter and the mountain training chapter can also be cut. It really feels like those are filler chapters. With additional nips and tucks I think vol 4 can be done in one or part of 1 episode.

So, The kakashi Kyohei is fighting in Vol 8, it's Amateratsu ? The same one when he was young ?

And what happen at the end of the vol 9 with Kyohei and the other ?

After Kyouhei destroyed it once in his childhood, Amaterasu spent years regenerating.
That's the wrapped up kakashi appearing in the scene with the Hyuga family head Sahei.
Since Amaterasu feeds on negative emotions, it tried to devour Aki last time (which Kyouhei prevented).
However, Sahei decides to feed Kirio to it because capturing Aki was taking too long, and the newly released Amaterasu attacks Kyouhei's group just as they return to the village.
Having Hibino in danger motivates Kyouhei to take control and kick Amaterasu's ass again, this time using only an armless Kukuri.
Twin telepathy alerts Utao that Kirio is inside Amaterasu, so she prevents Kyouhei from landing the finishing blow and Amaterasu escapes to regenerate.

The current chapters are building up to a final confrontation while all the major players converge at the village. Aki has returned with Mahiru and Kuuko.
Since Sahei has gone rogue, the rest of the village is mobilizing to take out Amaterasu while Kyouhei's group insists on saving Kirio.

While saving Hibino in the battle against Mahiru's kakashi, Kyouhei blurts out "Hibino is mine!" He also says it again while dreaming in the hospital.
Hibino reprimands him saying she's not his possession...
But quickly adds that Kyohei's words made her happy, and rewards him with a kiss. And then Hibino's father gives Kyouhei the "I place her in your care" speech before they go back to the village, so I guess it's pretty official.
So too bad for Mahiru, her efforts only drove them closer together.

I guess, in this volume, if I could understand bits of it. Seems like in this volume, Aki and Kyohei were training when they were kids, Aki was one that continued to seek power to become stronger, thus fought with a bear. it was also here that Kyohei first met Mahiru. She was a cute crybaby that didn't get along with Aki.

The 3 went into a cave, where Amaterasu awakened. Fighting continued for various chapters until Kyohei went GAR/serious mode, w/e. The only way that Amaterasu was defeated was because Kyohei used Kukuri to deflect it's beam of doom back at it.

Koushiro is injured, Kirio gets captured by Amaterasu and Kyohei is placed into prison by his own family. The thing is that he was sentenced to Aki's cell, and therefore learned that Aki has a huge grudge against Kyohei, especially with the wall carvings that say "Must kill Kyohei..."

But from what you say about Aki's grudge, we can say it's not the case anymore. I don't think Aki want to kill Kyouhei now (at least, from what I saw with these raw ).

Dman, I hope Kyouhei will not die :uhoh: I want my KyouheiXHibino happy ending at the end :upset: :heh:

Why did Kyouhei get prisoned? What did he do? Is this related to fighting amaterasu?

also, I don't think Kyouhei will really die. I really do hope so.

But you know, with this crazy village, you don't need to do anything to get prisoned :uhoh: Kyouhei don't like the village at all so he tried to get in the way which didn't please them at all.

I really hope Kyouhei and the other will put an end to this stupid village and its stupid rules :mad:

At the end of Vol9 we can see him going comando, with mosin garant or whatever that rifle is at some high heads, when they want to take Hibino, and god knows what they want to do to her ^^
