Awesome episode. I was smiling stupidly at every scene.
Also, giddy Mugi and tanned Azu-nyan. Mmm~. |
Nice to see the gang having fun. Oh, I like the sound of the next episode.
|
A return of the little brown kitty.

Mine! Stay away from her! :D |
She is safe from me...but none are safe from Rena the Collector of Cute Things. (I want Tessa (FMP))
All save I think Ritsu had interesting momemnts this time around. Ritsu might have had a moment but it was lost on my due to the language barrier. Mugi seems fixated on camping (from what I could get), Mio takes a little bit to get into things, then goes overboard. Yui's a little lost. Asuza's the realist it seems. And Sawako is headbanging. More Jun, Ui, and Azusa next week I suppose. |
Ah..... I had figured on no more Jun so that's good to hear of more appearances. She's quite a character with interesting flaws (as if Azusa doesn't have enough people around who are dysfunctional).
|
She was in this episode though...albeit very brief (she was posing behind Azusa in the "Who wants a training camp?!" scene).
The BGM that played when the five girls were under the stars, and the conversation they had...I really dawww'd and felt all fuzzy. I love their bond. It's a little surprising that Ritsu's the doubtful one in the group (actually, her character this episode was really tame) when it came to deciding that their band is greater than those they watched. |
It was surprising to see Mio getting all hyped up instead of Ristu. Mio was even more hyper and excited than Yui! *gasps in shock*
|
So...is the last episode next week, or are there going to be more than 13 episodes?
|
"Yakisoba!" :D

Random observation: I find it always amusing that K-On!! is a seinen publication .... another example of how many western fans misinterpret what the categories even mean. |

Wow... this episode sure was packed... so many new outfits, backgrounds, sounds, PEOPLE... it really stands out in comparison to all others. I just can't wait for the subbed version.
And Mio finally got hyped, even Ritsu was lost for a moment :heh: I will give more thoughts about episode after I will see the subbed version. P.S. I said it before but this season animators are really into whole Yui/Azusa relationship thingy. Don't remember so many moments with them last season. Wonder if they will give some focus to Ritsu/Mio friendship somewhere in the future. |
Haha, gosh I love Azusa, she got super tanned again lol
|
I wish I could get tanned that easily. I can stay in sun whole day and still will barely get tanned T_T

I was a little annoyed that it took until the episode's halfway point to get to the summer festival, but I admit that there were some laughable moments on the way. Yui pulling out her cellphone pic of Azusa set the tone for the episode for me. I was especially geared up for Mio ogling the male bass player. The ending of the episode put a different spin on the manga's end and I was very pleased with it. Originally it was abrupt and on the depressing note but the anime changed it into something optimistic.
The slow going and use of still shots aside this was a great episode overall. Quote:
The bits on the bus reminded me about my experiences on riding charter buses. From crying babies to annoying passengers on their phones. What fun. The guy with the headphones seated in front of the girls had the right idea. |

So that is how she fits into HTT. Effectively speaking, Sakuragou Keionbu is made up of dysfunctional people, even the teacher-in-charge and the sister of the main guitarist. :heh: Quote:

Uhh, Mugi never got to taste Yui's yakisoba? :p
