My Hero Academia Season 6
Saw some sources and ryokutya2089 report that My Hero Academia is getting a season 6. Official trailer will probably be out this week but I'm not surprised to hear this.

Yeah, no shock there. They aren't stopping this thing anytime soon.

S5 was a nightmare to adapt in every way. S6 should be as straightforward as it gets. One arc, perfect length, widely loved by fans.

Fingers crossed that this season is a return to form for the series. It hasn't exactly cratered since the end of season 3. But I would definitely say 4 and 5 were among the weaker seasons so far. |

Heroes vs. Villains...

Really hoping there won't be a movie this time so they can fully focus on it. The material this season will cover was great all around, especially the second arc.

It should be a much more straightforward season, with none of the tricky sequencing issues they had to deal with in S5. It'd be nice for the TV to get some love and not have to bear the burden of another film production, but these movies do very well so I wouldn't count on that.

Season 5 felt like a compilation/abridged version to me. I don't recall feeling a sense of choppiness from the manga like I did while watching last season. It would be nice if we get a better adaptation this time.
Also, completely nit-picky, but I really want the studio to stop introducing every character, every episode. There have been five seasons -- we know his name is Midoriya and what his damn quirk is by now. We don't need to be reminded every single episode. There have been times when half the screen was taken up by character "intros" and their translations. We definitely don't need that in the middle of all the fight scenes. |

Although I've been hating the final arc of the manga and it's brought down my enjoyment of the series as a whole, I'm still looking forward to seeing this arc animated. It was all around pretty great.

Only new show no one posted about. Surprisingly, the first episode was not filler this time! We just straight into the action instead, with still a little bit of recap at the beginning.
They cut the early part of Shigaraki's strengthening process. He had to endure unimaginable pain before being put into that incubator. |
This season is going to be so good even HeroAca fans will struggle to be negative about it.
