Gamera... now HERE'S a name I haven't heard in a hot minute.

I've always found it interesting that back in the heyday of kaiju (let's face it, they're not exactly popular these days, probably at least in part due to the Butcher), Godzilla was famous in the West, but Gamera never really took off from Japan. It'll be interesting to see if this way of Gamera gets popular or not.

So-so CGI and loads of anti-American bigotry, but that's not unusual for kaiju flicks. At least there are plenty of kaiju right from the first episode.
