Gundam Wing
 

gundam wing was the first gundam series i've seen.. it's been a good 9 years since i last seen it. i was wondering if it is worth rewatching a 2nd time.

for those that have seen it , could you please rate it 1-10(1 being lowest)

1 for simply being there
2 for Treize
1 for Zechs

In my book it was a pretty terrible series, i barely made it trought them. Of all the gundam shows i like wing the least, if it hadnt been for my interest in Treize and Zechs characters i doubt i would have ever finished it.

1: wasn't able to get past 25 epsisodes, despite really trying. Also, WTH were those guys fighting about? Was it anything more than a dick measuring contest with giant mechs?

sometimes one needs to just chillax and stop taking Wing so seriously. Being a plotshield prototype, it definitely has its wtf moments, but its a fun show. I dont like the aristocratic theimg, if anything.

7/10 for me, if youre looking for plotshield-less show this is maybe a 3/10

It was a good fun show. Way better then anything the CE has to offer IMO.

I'm not gonna give it a ten because no show is perfect. It did have some things that I didn't like but it's still my favorite show.

7/10: It made me interested in gundam and the battles were decent, good for making amvs. But the story was just just.... well I wasn't bored with it, but close to it. Only after I've watch some UC shows that I began to appreciate it more. But Endless Walts was better since it's shorter.

7.5/10 i'm so happy there is still some Gundam Wing fans out there..this was my first gundam show and i totally loved it.....especially the five pilots hehhe...and their hot-ness....but honestly i did like the characters of this show but the storyline was kinda complicated and confusing......i had to watch it a couple of times to fully understand it!!!!!!!

2 points for treize
1 point for duo
1 point for quatre
1 point for trowa
1 point for zechs
so that's 7/10

what really interesting is when you rewatch it for the xth time, you suddenly realize that it wasn't the gundams that were the 'goodguys' but rather OZ. sure OZ suffered from bad, stupid, and overagressive pilot syndrome, but they were the only ones that brought peace and freedom to the colonies.

Well the Treize faction was probably the closest thing to the 'good guys', useless Relena aside. Aside from that there was no clear cut bad or good guys there, aside from maybe the group of pacifist generals that Heero killed.

But i could never make myself to watch it again, that much is certain.

When i first watched it on CN years ago i really liked it, a few weeks ago a got the box set and was like "What the hell? i'm sure it was better then this", i guess it was easier to enjoy in weekly doeses instead of all at once .
For me it just seemed to jump around to much , the white fang arc was when it got good for me.

Skyfall, judging by your posts you seem to feel the same way about Wing as I do about the CE.

Pretty mutch the same way I thought about the CE. If it wasn't for Shinn and maybe Rey...I would have never watched as mutch as I did.

I always felt Wing was not something to be taken too seriously. It was a fairly entertaining show there were some tough parts to get through but it wasn't meant to be that complicated of a story it had some interesting mobile suit designs and characters. Wing got me started on gundam so without wing I would never have found out about all the other better series out there so hooray for Wing :D

Well for me I like shows with good character interaction more then a complicated story.....And thats pobably why I like Gundam Wing.....A complicated story can get a bit anoying to me at times. Like when you wait a full weak exepting a kick ass event to take place but then all you get is some damn flash back or something like that....I hate when that happens.

I rate Gundam Wing: 6 out of 10

I just dont like the series ending though endless waltz made up for it.....

The series is ok! I just don't like how they made the Oz(the enemy) mobile suits! Didn't like how they did the plot! At least they have good animation!

Gundam Wing as a whole was ok, but:

-1 when Heero survives self destructing Wing Gundam
-1 when Trowa survives the destruction of Vayeate
-1 when Lady Une survives Wing Gundam's near-vaporization
-1 for when Treize ACTUALLY dies
-1 when Zechs survived the destruction of Epyon
-1 when Heero survives the destruction of Wing Gundam Zero Custom


As a whole: 5/10 for me.

Just way too convenient for all those characters to live. I'm sure there are some I missed, but I can't remember. :frustrated:
