Naruto fans please read this, i think i have made a HUGE discovery!!
This is insane, i promise u all of this is true. what happened was i went to d-load naruto episodes 33-37, and i had started the d-load the day b4. so i saved it to a folder but it was the wrong folder, i then tried again but i kept the first bittorent box open. i got the right folder this time, and all of a sudden the bittorent that was on zero when to a download RATE OF 1500 kb/s, it was insane i downloaded the 700mb file in 8 minutes. and the other bittorent box's UPLOAD rate was around 1500kb/s!!! i think if u have 2 of the same file downloading at once u get it from urself and it just flies. try it out. it could save me like 20 hours.

lol yea i remember a year ago i was dling a file from kazaa that i had on another one of my computers on the network and man the dl went fast...

Zigma 2003-11-06 23:13

8 minutes to download a 700MB file from one computer to another?

sorry, that takes 2 long. I can transfer that in about 20 seconds from my home computer to my laptop.

hobobaggins 2003-11-06 23:14

i laugh at you. all it does is kill your bandwidth...

smee 2003-11-06 23:16

i c, by accident i deleted the bittorent that was flying and then re-opened it and now it doesnt work, ARGH!!!!

Hyuga Jubei 2003-11-06 23:22

Just tried doing it but no insane download speed
Guess my luck isn't that good :upset:

diabolistic 2003-11-06 23:24

I've got a firewall, so my downloads are always mediocre :(

hobobaggins 2003-11-06 23:25

i got a router... the best BT speeds i get are ~160kb/s

nothing nuts like 1.5mb/s

smee 2003-11-06 23:28

ARG!! i keep trying but it doesnt work anymore, anyone else do this and have it work for them?

Lee-pimp 2003-11-06 23:58

ill tell you what happened you dled it first to the wrong folder right then you dled it again to a different folder but since you already had the file on your computer it was taking 8 minutes to copy the file to a new folder nto to actaully dl the file again

So let me get this straight. You downloaded some naruto eps, saved to the wrong file, then redownloaded them to the file you wanted. At this point you got it from yourself at insane speeds. You do realize you could have just renamed the file once it finished, right? Also what's the point of downloading something you already have? If you don't have the file to begin with, it won't do anything since you don't have it. It could save some time if by some fluke each torrent downloads different parts of the file. In most cases it would make the file download slower since you're wasting bandwidth downloading the same parts twice. In other words it was probably a one time thing. The only use I can see for that is to impress people with your download speed. In any event this is probably in the wrong forum. It should probably be in one of the bittorrent discussions.

Threads like this should be closed. Its totally pointless...
