StrikeS H264 encodes
Anyone else have issues with these files not playing properly? (For example, their H264 versions of Strike Witches and KemekoDX)

I use the most recent version of MPC Home Cinema, and have VLC just in case. In both cases the players close out without even playing the file. I've tried VMR9, EVR, and Haali's Renderer with MPC, all with the same problem.

Pathetically enough, the only thing to actually play it for me has been WMP11 which ends up using Haalis Splitter after some tinkering.

I've never ran into any playback issues this hard to diagnose before on anything that wasn't exotically encoded in some screwed-up format.

Try mplayer if it does not play with that the files may be FUBAR.

I use SMplayer for just about everything in terms of movies and only have VLC for music and it works great :P.

I have the extra codecs for it and never had a problem really.

Disable the mkv filter in MPC-HC and it should work.

Only Haali media splitter will work properly with their releases for some reason.

I've never had any problems with Strike Subs releases-mostly I use KMP for most of my playback and VLC-works ile a charm.
