sounds good, but looking at the source material of 5 vols, I'm assuming this will probably be 13 episode ordeal, not my favorite format for romance in general but the premise seems fun

Midonin 2009-02-21 22:16

I like the premise and the romantic comedy genre in general, so I'll watch this come the summer.

Seifall 2009-02-23 17:02

The names and the astronomy club 's reference looks like Takaya. N 's last manga, except the comedy part here, which I like too and is for sure an advantage; looks good.

The website is go. Not much on it yet, but certainly better than nothing.

Wow this sound like the same old (always badly and pointless) overused school childhood romance, but I just can't ignore anything that came from Afternoon, especially recent materials (older series like OMGodness seems really out of place nowadays).

The trailer look nice and well animated, maybe I'll give a try.

For some reason this looks more like a shoujo anime/manga then a seinen...sigh...that's why I always say I like alot of stuff that is aimed at older men.

My reaction to the pv : COOL AND SPICY (please look up Shugo Chara ;P)

This looks like my cup of tea, a simple romantic comedy (I doubt it's that romantic). I strongly hope for no fanservice so I watch this as a shoujo anime...even techically it isn't.

Midonin 2009-04-27 14:07

The source material has next to no fanservice (what I've read of it), and I doubt it'd do anything worse than a beach/hot springs episode. And "shoujo", "seinen" whatnot, just a demographic, not a genre. And as a genre, it is what you think it is - a sweet, heartwarming romantic comedy.

Is it okay to post a link to a torrent for a subbed preview? It's the preview from the official site.

I'm here for Hayami Saori and astronomy. But Koshimizu Ami, Itou Kanae, and Tomatsu Haruka will be cool, too. The bit of the manga I've read, and the promo, both look promising. Mi-chan is always on the edge of going too far, but so far not quite.

Doraneko 2009-05-14 08:58

Somehow this anime is endorsed by some professional astronomy organizations and publications in Japan. There is even an interview with the mangaka in a recent issue of 星ナビ. Hopefully the studio will do adequate research in depicting nightskys and astronomical instruments.

Anyway the telescope setup in the poster would probably look weird to anyone who has the slightest degree of stargazing experience. :heh:
