I can only use two words to describe my initial feelings on the episode:
F'n Metal.

Sawako stole the show and ran with it. Death Devil will now see themselves being drawn time and time again by doujin artists, and the talk of pre K-On will be loud.

I must say that Hokago Tea Time... cannot look death metal. The adorable diabetes-inducing appearances prove too strong for the girls to look like such rockers.

I actually prefer this over Sawako's exposition in the manga. It was also nice to see Catherine again. Lol'd hard having the commercial for the single at the end of the segment. June 23'd for Death Devil Love!

After school gangbangs. 'twill be glorious.

You can't kill the metal.... The Metal will live on...
Hokago no Teatime tried to kill The Metal.... THEY FAILED, as they were thrown down to the ground!

Sparvid 2010-06-08 17:23

I wonder how much fan art there'll be of Heavy Metal Tea Time within a day or two.
Mugi really nailed the 80's look, btw :D

Vexx 2010-06-08 17:32

yeah, this is when anime-only episodes supplement and improve on the manga source. Very nice rocking.

Jack Black and K.G. agrees with this statement.

Sawako always was one of my favorites, but she definetly stole the episode this week! I loved each moment with her on stage. And I think that she looks 10 times better when she goes into her Rocker mood.

Come on, how can you not like her here?

If there won't be a bunch of Sawako images this week, I'll be mad.

Ithekro 2010-06-08 19:03

Okay that was amusing.

Sawako's always been nice looking, but I have to say she's really sexy in that image.

I like how Gitah transformed into a Zakk Wylde Les Paul, complete with "Chain" guitar strap

Ithekro 2010-06-08 19:16

Gitah is multi-talented.

I like how normal Death Devil looks in there actualy school flashbacks (out of costume).

Also the form members reactions after Sawako starts playing is perfect.

I think the only appropriate response to the passion that is rock would be:

Rock on, Death Devil.

The other thing I forgot to mention is Ho-kago stalkers. :heh:

@sunwen: yes, Yui led Sawa-chan astray big time. It was all a setup, just as how that the cake is a lie.
Seriously though, if anyone is going to make Sawako act, it'd be Yui. With her cavalier attitudes running completely against the image and the notorious name of Death Devil, made worse with her bumbling antics on-stage, Sawa-chan is doomed to face the music.

sunwen 2010-06-08 20:55

Yui led Sawako to the dark side again.

I totally agree: :D

Hypernova 2010-06-08 23:57

Sawachan is just wasted talent being a teacher, she could have taken over fucking Hollywood with that look.

ReddyRedWolf 2010-06-09 00:43

The guy who Sawako became a rocker and teacher for and dumped her is an idiot.

How can anyone not want to tap that?!

sunwen 2010-06-09 01:20

To be with her or not to be with her, that is the question.

MeoTwister5 2010-06-09 03:39

Taking my queue from panzerfan:

Glam Metal never dies!

Now if the girls can pull off an epic ass-kicking performance of that level, my desires for this show would be complete.

Syntron 2010-06-09 04:55

That was quite epic.
