Seems to me like Adult Swim just doesn't know what "fansubbed" and they used it in the wrong context, not like it was promoted, acknowledged or anything like that.

Wait, what? What does that have to do with muxing to mkv? I suggested that because sometimes mkvmerge manages to avoid screwing up when demuxing from nasty files, so it might help :\

To hit the same file size at 30 fps you have to use a lower bitrate, and often that makes the bitrate too low.

My guideline is... if dark lines in a dark area get to a point where they've lost...
