I second Shingeki no Kyojin and Fullmetal...
I second Shingeki no Kyojin and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Those are two that really got me hooked on anime. I will also suggest Psycho-Pass. It's theme is kind of similar to Death Note.
